I would have thought that the VKS disaster in Ukraine made that redundant to repeat. But let them criticize, for starter, they have no frame of reference as we are so far ahead. The US Air Force is leaving everyone behind. By 2030 the USAF will have well over 1,000+ F-35s in inventory, B-21 bombers will be rolling off the production line, and 6th Gen NGAD will be coming online.

That has nothing to do with management of technology. Technically the F-22+ F-35 dominates pretty much everyone except the Chinese. The NGAD can follow basic Pareto and still be completely dominant over anything the Chinese roll out by 2060.

Me as an American citizen questioning why we need additional costly tech( that inevitably leads to delays) when we already dominate the shit out of any of the threats leads you to make some troll post?

I am not against NGAD, I questioned the need for doing the F-35 approach of shoving everything and anything in the aircraft when even 50% will keep any future threat at bay.

Probably above 200 million USD a piece. This will put developing countries with their 4th gen fighters completely out of race to compete in air warfare. China is the only country that can offset this kind of advanced tech.
