The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) is one of the largest media organizations in the world. The agency is also at the forefront of U.S. government efforts to promote American propaganda. Despite’s U.S. President Donald Trump’s promise not to impose America’s way of life on others, the latest BBG budget shows that the U.S. government remains strongly committed to using American power to interfere in the internal affairs of countries that do not share American values.
In the latest budget request, the BBG is requesting $5 million to “rebalance content and programming for Asia,” and the Voice of America (VOA) will maintain Mandarin as a priority and resources will be shifted toward next generation digital/social media content and technology. VOA Mandarin will launch an Internet-delivered 24/7 video news stream to China to provide “a fact-based alternative to domestic media propaganda about the U.S.” Furthermore, VOA will distribute a circumvention app to deliver its propaganda....
The title is a direct violation of PDF rules that do not allow such doctoring. The link has the correct title.
The bias is there, and can remain in the discussion, which is allowed by the rules, of course.
But, NMFP.
As I said above on topic, working around any website blocks is quite easy.
Why are you so triggered by the title?.. Do you think VOA is benign???

VOA: “A trusted source of news and information since 1942”?
The
Voice of America (VOA) claims to be “A trusted source of news and information since 1942”. While World War II audiences may have held the VOA in high regard, today’s Iraq War audiences know that the VOA has become a neo-conservative (neo-Trotskyite) broadcaster of lies and of propaganda. The VOA broadcasts in foreign languages lies and propaganda the American government does not communicate in English to American citizens.
On March 14, 2007, anyone who knows Persian (Farsi) and who watches
Persian language television programs via international satellite dish, was able to see the Voice of America promoting a spokesperson for the Iranian MEK (Rajavi Cult or Pol Pot of Iran). The MEK is a terrorist organization on terrorist lists of the American Department of State (since the administration of former President Bill Clinton) and on terrorist lists in Europe. The MEK has murdered American military officers, Rockwell International employees, and large numbers of Iranian and Iraqi civilians. The MEK was involved in a terrorist act in New York City.
Iraq Government’s Message to America: Trials for the MEK
The neo-conservatives (neo-Trotskyites) claimed that America must invade Iraq to export democracy. Instead, the American military remains an occupying force to prevent the Iraqi government from representing the desires of the Iraqi people.
The Iraqi people know well that the MEK in 1991 killed large numbers of Iraqi civilians to please Saddam Hussein. The MEK murdered large numbers of Kurds, for example, by forcing the Kurds to stand in lines along roads while MEK tanks or armored personnel carriers (supplied by Saddam Hussein) ran over the Kurds. Leaders of the Rajavi Cult had ordered the MEK terrorists not to waste any bullets on killing Kurds. The leaders of the Rajavi Cult wanted to save the bullets for an invasion of Iran.
The Iraqi government continues to demand that it be able to place on trial all MEK terrorists involved in the 1991 atrocities and to expel from Iraq all other MEK terrorists living at Camp Ashraf, Iraq (protected by the Bulgarian and American military). The American occupying forces continue to deny the requests of the Iraqi government.
While these facts are well-known in Iraq and in Iran, how many Americans have ever heard or read about these facts in English in America, a country claiming to have freedom of the press?
VOA Interviewed Terrorist Spokesperson
While the VOA could have interviewed American political leaders or Americans who are opposed to the MEK terrorists, the VOA chose to interview only Alireza Jafarzadeh, a long-time spokesperson for the MEK terrorists.
