‘Urdu is linguistic Taj Mahal of India’

.
Urdu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It began to take shape in what is now Uttar Pradesh, India during the Delhi Sultanate (1206–1527), and continued to develop under the Mughal Empire (1526–1858). Modern Urdu is mutually intelligible with the younger register of Hindustani, which is often simply called "Hindi". The combined population of Hindi and Urdu speakers is the fourth largest in the world.[5]

dont know what is the problem with pakistan... they try to claim history and culture of India,
and now they are claiming that urdu is pakistani language!!!

. .
There are many linguistic Taj Mahals in this world.

Infact every language is a Taj Mahal to its speakers.

.
Urdu started in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. We're not going to have you bharati people telling us our National language came from Bharat.

Your national language ?

Your nation came from what you choose to call Bharat.

Udru is still spoken in India.

Normally I would ignore such a post. However I shall make an exception because the point need to be made.

Wikipedia? Oh please! Wikipedia is totally infested by indians.

Well, I agree its not an irrefutable source, but still a starting point for discussion (if it can remain a discussion). Saw another piece that traces Urdu to Muhammad Gazni of Afghanistan..

.
why cant pakistan change family of urdu?
it is still Indo-European
why is it not pak-european?

I don't know why we are fighting over Urdu lol Urdu is closely related to, and inter-intelligible with Hindi the main official language of India.

The main difference between Urdu and Hindi is that Urdu has been heavily influenced by Persian (also known as Iranian or Farsi), Arabic and Turkic languages. These influences are due to invasions of the Indian subcontinent by Turkic and Persian speaking Muslims from Central Asia after the twelfth century. Another difference is that Urdu is written in the Arabic alphabet instead of in the Indian Devanagari alphabet. India and Pakistan were together when Urdu was developed so don't fight about its origin

They are not wrong. standardization of the Urdu language took place during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. During this period the formal forms of Urdu and Hindi began to diverge. Hindi was considered the language of Hindus. Words of Persian, Turkic or Arabic origin were deliberately removed from the language. Words from Sanskrit, the language of ancient Hindu religious texts, were added. Urdu, on the other hand, came to be considered a Muslim language. Urdu borrowed more heavily on Persian and Arabic and attempts were made to minimize Sanskrit influences.

In 1947 the British colony of India was partitioned into between Muslims and Hindus. The Muslim country of Pakistan adopted Urdu as its official language. Majority Hindu India adopted Hindi. The political division between the two countries helped to facilitate further divergence between formal and literary Urdu and Hindi. Everyday spoken Urdu and Hindi, however, are intelligible with one another. Many linguists even consider them to be a single language.

No need to answer every bharti post, since their bollywood movies mostly use Urdu instead of their national language hindi and they haven't come with a beautiful language like urdu this is another reason for bhartis to commit mass suicide,

And they want to talk about culture when everything they have is due to muslim marauders or hijacked from pakistan.

Pakistani Heritage and culture gives them nightmare.

Even bharti infested wikipedia says urdu originated during Ghaznavid Empire

From Wikipedia
Urdu arose in the contact situation which developed from the invasions of the Indian subcontinent by Persian and Turkic dynasties from the 11th century onwards,[13] first as Sultan Mahmud of the Ghaznavid empire conquered Punjab in the early 11th century, then when the Ghurids invaded northern India in the 12th century, and most decisively with the establishment of the Delhi Sultanate.

whenever i watch any pakistani video on youtube i can not understand half of its words...while hindi cinema uses very very very few urdu words which are mostly used in hindi too...plus i can give many pakistani songs which use sanskrit words...

also my dear friend only 8% population of pakistan has urdu as mother tongue...
muslims in India have also broken myth that Muslims use only urdu...still there are more than 50 million urdu speakers in India
