What's new

‘Urdu is linguistic Taj Mahal of India’

i really find it absurd to see people trying to gain ownership of the language. Urdu doesn't belong to indians or to pakistanis. it belongs to those who speak the language. whether it's people from india or from pakistan.
i personally like lucknowi urdu. their vocabulary is just great. but the accent of hyderabadi urdu is just out of this world! just love it!!

.
In the south asian region where you can find a new language every couple of hundred miles, it is foolish to fight over the ownership of a language. All I can say is that, Urdu is a beautiful language. I do not speak urdu but from whatever I know from the songs i have heard, all i can say is that Urdu songs are a treat for the ears. Same is the case with tamil. INDIANS AND PAKISTANIS, STOP FIGHTING OVER A LANGUAGE!!!

Agreed, I was just having some fun with people who want to deny any common heritage but want to claim everything as their own :)

OK no more off topic from me.

BTW when my Pakistani friends hear my wife's accent (she's from Lucknow), they never fail to praise. Them Punjabis can't speak but sure appreciate sweetness :)
