انشا جي اٹھو اب کوچ کرو، اس شہر ميں جي کو لگانا کيا
وحشي کو سکوں سےکيا مطلب، جوگي کا نگر ميں ٹھکانا کيا

اس دل کے دريدہ دامن کو، ديکھو تو سہي سوچو تو سہي
جس جھولي ميں سو چھيد ہوئے، اس جھولي کا پھيلانا کيا

شب بيتي، چاند بھي ڈوب چلا، زنجير پڑي دروازے پہ
کيوں دير گئے گھر آئے، سجني سے کرو گے بہانا کيا

پھر ہجر کي لمبي رات مياں، سنجوگ کي تو يہي ايک گھڑي
جو دل ميں ہے لب پر آنے دو، شرمانا کيا گھبرانا کيا

اس حسن کے سچے موتي کو ہم ديکھ سکيں پر چھو نا سکيں
جسے ديکھ سکيں پر چھو نہ سکيں وہ دولت کيا وہ خزانہ کيا

جب شہر کے لوگ نہ رستا ديں، کيوں بن ميں نہ جا بسرام کرے
ديوانوں کي سي نہ بات کرے تو اور کرے ديوانہ کيا

Razia Butt was a Urdu novelist and playwright from Pakistan. Her novels typically have strong female protagonists, and have been dramatised in movies and television plays.

Razia Butt was born in Rawalpindi in 1924; she spent most of her childhood in Peshawar.
Her name first appeared in a literary journal around 1940 when she was in her teens. She later developed her first published story into a novel‚ Naila.
Married in 1946‚ Razia Butt resumed writing in 1950s after a break of some years. She was later hailed as one of the prolific writers of her time‚ with some 50 novels and 350 short stories to her credit. She also wrote many radio plays.
Being a contemporary of many famous names in Urdu fiction writing‚ Razia Butt carved a niche and a market for herself by perfecting a particular brand of storytelling.
Not surprisingly‚ many of her novels‚ such as Saiqa and Naila‚ were adapted for the big screen. She was also a favourite of television producers looking to turn a novel into a TV drama serial.
Popular with many generations of readers‚ Razia Butt came up with an autobiography “Bichhray Lamhe”.

Her famouse Novels include Aadhi Kahani , Aag, Aaina , Aneela, Bano, Beena, Chahat, Darling, Faslay , Mein kon hon, Naila, Najia, Nasoor, Noreena, Reeta, Roop, Sabeen, Saiqa, Sawaneh, Zindgi.
