You are confusing between adult literacy rate with overall literacy rate. Indian Muslims adult literacy rate is around 58%, while Pakistan's overal litteracy rate is 58%. Overall literacy rate will be much higher.

The Indian Muslim literacy rate is 68.5%. That's more than 10% higher than Pakistan's.
