Up to 27 Hindus 'converted to Christianity' by missionaries in Kushinagar

LOL missionaries.

I see them all the time in HK. At least they don't bother me much.

.
Before posting such articles, you should think of India's Secularism and Social Fabric.

I am at all surprised at it, as have myself experienced it here. Few days back I was also told that Minorities can leave India.
:D

But then anyone can leave India. It's a free nation. :D

.
Not accusing minorities.

Accusing Christian Missionaries. Funded from UK,US, Canada. They are not related to India. We are accusing foreign elements operating in India against Indians.

No one is accusing you or Christians. I think you should also ask for removal of these FOREIGN FUNDED and FOREIGN OPERATED Missionaries in India. They have no reason to operate in India.

Why are they converting Hindus to Christianity? Do you believe Hinduism is not good or Hindu gods are evil?? Surely you can see the agenda of these Missionaries is not NOBLE.
doesn't matter what you do.. lot of portion are unhappy with Christian community. . th
look at the thread.. a family prayer became an issue... some people stormed into the village and magistrate enquiry on that issue...

Each family prayer involves converting almost 30 Hindus to Christianity? :omghaha:

More like a clandestine conversion - like thousands all over the country.

Not family prayer.. conversion became issue. I do have problem with foreign funded organisation pumping billions into India to convert people. I want to know why are they doing it?

We are a Dheet qaum. :partay: Sadda Haq Aithe Rak!:feminist:
Sikhs are the only hope of India. Hindu gaye nalle main. Most Hindus are pacifist losers. Pandits are the prime example. Look at the Rohingyas. The folks are dying by the hundreds but still staying put. But 200 killed and most Pandits decide to leave! The rest of the Hindus were too busy what to do with a monument established by the invader on Indian soil to celebrate Indian defeat and on India's holiest places.

Losers.

well TTD conducts many programmes in minority areas.. none of Christians oppose any thing... Christians feel proud of Christianity like Hindus feel on Hinduism. . forcing them to convert is definitely crime. .. who is opposing if you wanna motivate Christians... ehm

forced conversion ??rss didn't place a knife on the necks of those muslims to convert.. even they motivated those muslims to convert back to their true religion... and they would help them send their chldren to good schools , thats wat even missionaries do.. they target poor, low caste hindus gve them money to convert and promise them tat their children will be sent to good school..u shld visit telangana and a.p smetyms to look at the extent of the conversions being done by these misssionaries..

hum kare toh balatkar , aap kare toh chamatkar... true face of secularism of india....

I will just say its not the Indian Christians who are doing it. Its the Foreign Funded Missionaries. If we stop them these conversions would stop.

Indian christians are doing it too.. Most of the evangeclical missionaries are Indians themselves. And foreign funds are not used only for conversions.. There are many orphanages and old age homes run with these money.. Keeping a tab on this money will help reducing the conversion to a level..

But for me, let the religious organisations indulge in conversion spree.. The ultimate beneficaries will be the people..

the aim is not charity. the aim is conversion in name of charity. Its like nothing comes free in life. So the cost of the charity is conversions.

I am ok if everyone is allowed to do conversions. Let the people decide which religion they want to follow. Let them change religion 100 times, till they find the most satisfying one. :D

Incorrect. Evangelicals don't convert for Jesus, Muhammad or Krishna. They convert to fill their own pockets. Ignorance leads to exploitation. Had it been so, Africa(battlefield of Christian vs Muslim evangelical activity) would have been developed. It has slid further into the abyss.

But the end result is a people for whom identity is everything.

@SarthakGanguly No one is going to utter a word now. #secularism. :enjoy:

New Delhi, Dec 15: An administrative officer of prestigious St Stephen’s College has accused its principal Reverend Valson Thampu of pressurising him to convert to Christianity, says media report.
According to the report published in an English daily, the administrative officer, Subha Kumar Das, had written a letter to the principal asking him not to torture him mentally for converting to Christianity. After which, Das was suspended for sending the missive, report says.

In the letter, Das said, “I was induced for conversion by you (principal) in beginning of the year 2014 which I had taken serious objection to and pleaded with you not to force me for conversion. Your wife came to my residence and told my wife in evening hour not to disclose this matter as it may tarnish your image.”

“In month of October 2014, you tried to offer me a mobile phone and told me that same mobile was given to you by previous Bishop which I did not accept and strongly objected and requested you not to force for conversion as I strongly believe in my Hindu religion and form of worship,” he further wrote.

According to media report, the letter also alleged that the principal threatened Das of dire consequences for not abiding by his diktat of converting into Christianity. In the letter Das mentioned that principal told him how Mess Steward and Estate Officer were replaced with Christians. As a result of constant mental torture.

On the other hand, principal Valson Thampu has denied any such charges. “Anybody can make allegations but that doesn’t mean they are all true.”

Meanwhile, the issue is likely to snowball into major controversy as the matter will be taken up in next Governing Body meeting of the college.

Reacting to same, DU’s Administrative Officers’ Association has demanded a meeting with principal. “Earlier the principal agreed to have a meeting on Monday but now it has been postponed. We will be meeting him on Wednesday or Friday. We want to speak to him first why he took such drastic step (of suspending Das),” said Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, member of the association.
