UNVERIFIED:Indian military personnel arrested for unauthorized launch of missile| Source: PDF Member Rafi

I don't think we should stop at 26 pages for this thread. There is still a lot of potential to continue this thread to at least 180 pages. There is still so much to be guessed. So much to be assumed.
I don't really feel like laughing, but after a stage, what else can one do?

India's rogue or worse, incompetent military caused a serious international incident and people are speculating about it. Nothing wrong with it.

Indians get hysterical over a PIA balloon or a spy pigeon and have the audacity to criticize this thread. Truly an insufferable bunch they are.

So, my initial assessment of it about being air-launched could be wrong as per what I recently found out. But the rest of the point stands, also the report in Bloomberg is talking about IAF authorities taking power out of the system in order to disable further launches.

If true, this points to a complete loss of command and control of the Brahmos battery. It also clarifies why there was no self-destruct command issued by the battery commander (since power was taken out).

They did something like this on 27 Feb as well, after the Mi17 vs SPYDER match.

Yes, I remember that they'd to disable power to the AD battery. If this news is true, we're dealing with a declared nuclear power that 'can' lose command and control of an entire battery in one go. I cannot imagine the implications of this scenario.

Is it suffice to say that India now holds this infamous record and credentials to be the only country that accidentally launched a missile into another country.
Under circumstances it could have been a potential disaster.

This launch was just for setting a pretext and a precident, so that in future if an Indian leader doesn't tow the line and wage a war on the demands of the hardliners, those hardliners would threaten that civilian leader with a similar accidental launch, to help initiate a war..

The world is laughing at india's huge blunder and Indians are celebrating like a victory. Indians are truly delusional people.

Maybe it's time that we get our house in order too. Historically long range strategic aerial surveillance, Air defense/interception systems had been under the command of the PAF. With reaction time now shrunk into mere seconds and minutes, shouldn't we hand over the long range high altitude Air defense and SAM systems to PAF. Like beefing up the numbers of HQ-9B batteries and placing them under the command of the PAF. As PAF has comprehensive multi layered Radars, over the horizon surveillance and tracking systems that PAK Army simply can't have. It's seems counterintuitive to place long range high altitude (strategic) SAMs under the Army's chain of command whose primary role is to fight on the ground!

Instead PAK Army should expand its Army Aviation wing by also incorporating fixed wing aircrafts for CAP/CAS, like JF-17 thunders. And share logistics with PAF and should be able to operate from any patch of highway/motorway in case of a war.

Just imagine if Air Force inducts hundreds of MBTs and artillery/MLRs etc. of it's own!

Air defence of Pakistan airspace has always rested with PAF. No doubt in that.

Even worse it could be an Israeli trained unit that earned some money.

India kept propagating for decades that Pakistani nukes might fall into terrorist hands but in reality, their nukes and missiles have not only fallen into terrorist hands but have also been used, UN must jump in and de-fang Indian nukes and missiles.
