Exactly India favors some tone down resolution on Srilanka and at the same time wants the rehabilitation of srilankan tamils to be implemented quickly.

May be some help in rehabilitation is on the cards from the GOI.

Nothing will happen as for the political parties including the tamil parties, Lankan issue is not a significant one. Anyway the resolution itself is diluted. it boggles my mind that in an attempt to please the west and remain off their radar, the bhartis did nothing beyond lip service to SL during its fight against LTTE.....given your proximity, you couldve lent a hand (equipment, logistical support, etc)

and despite non-participation and this publicity stunt @ UNSC, many tamilnadu walas are talking about establishing "Eelam" in TN.

Who cares - DMK and Congress can play any amount of politics except I am afraid that DMK's opportunistic politics should not succeed and it should not be allowed to hijack the SL tamil demonstrations in TN which is independent of any politican parties and is more spontaneous and significant. As per what I hear from the fellow TN members and talking to my relatives, they mentioned it is much more than the 1980s demonstrations which caused Operation Poomalai to be conducted by Rajiv.
