which book is this??????

incest is a crime in india afaik but if it is an historic text i will love to read it.but first tell me the name of book.

thanks

i don't practice whatever is written here.so i don't want to read the book now because it is written by a western fella.brahmins, maulvis, father they are all same and one should not simply listen to them.
many people in india don't have an idea about hinduism.it is clearly written in bhagvada gita that people should worship one supreme almighty and should not worship any god for there petty gains and greed.
all those who want a proof can read bhagvad gita as it is.this shrilok is from 1st chapter or pehla adhyay.
i know it's kinda offtopic but wanted to share this

i don't no what this book says n what the source of the author
But i do knw what hinduism says loud n clear
u don't marry among ur cousins rather u don't even marry one from ur same gotra bcoz u n them have the same lineage so they r ur brother n sisters

Even almost all hindu scriptures gave references to gotras even in gods marriages also for example the marriage of lord shiva n mata parvati...

This is not about incest.

The French author asserted his opinion that under existing circumstances, there was no possibility of overcoming the invincible barrier of Brahminical prejudice so as to convert the Hindus to any sect of Christianity. He acknowledged that low castes and outcastes might be converted in large numbers, but of the higher castes, he wrote: "Should the intercourse between individuals of both nations, by becoming more intimate and more friendly, produce a change in the religion and usages of the country, it will not be to turn Christians that they will forsake their own religion, but rather ... to become mere atheists. Then it would be possible to re-convert them to Christianity.

I don't think OP understood any of this. He took the keyword "inbred" and got a kick out of it.

what u r telling is right but the interpretation is wrong
although i don't remember whether it was the Bhagwat Gita or the Vedas but i remember the message correctly

it say the supreme almighty god has no form no shape
but it also says he can be worshiped in any form as he is omnipresent n he is present in everything
n all ways of worship n devotion lead to that supreme almighty no matter whom u worship or what u worship:wave:

Hinduism does allow worship of man gods in many forms. The two schools of thought are known as nirgam(idol worship of many gods) and sagam(idol less worship).somebody correct me if im wrong.

The author was a French Missonary who visited India in the early 1800s. He was a man of his times. Society and cultural practices since then have changed a lot.

Nothing to see here.

In this case, inbred means inherent characteristics. Not a product of incest.

It is interesting that large numbers all over the world have gone off religion and are now agnostics or atheists. Possibly the Catholic church losing a lot more than most. I wonder if the author ever anticipated that religion itself would lose all relevance.

Sure now hindu dharam ke thekaydar on PDF wiill teach me about hinduism
atleast we do n practice what we say not like some people out here who r busy in deriving their own fake ideologies here:smitten:
