What's new

Under pressure but not down , PM Nawaz Sharif rightly asks USA stand with Pakistan against India !

So do you think that what the UN does is somehow "right"? It only follows the same rules of international geopolitics as all other entities.
Hi,
There is a common understanding among countries, which seeks to prevent conflict bases around some misplaced pursuit of national interest at another country's existence.

Ironically funded and directly supported by the same country that goes against the very core principle of the organisation it supports.

You see calling it a 'Right" to pursue national interest at the expense of other country is not right nor justifiable. This primitive mentality doesn't really work no matter how callous it may sound.

What gives a powerful country right to rob a weaker country ?

A so called right, claimed by whom. We can say yes A powerful country abuses its power to subdue, loot, force etc other weak countries.

Actually Sir, take a good look around the world. International geopolitics, primitive or not, works exactly as I have described it. For everyone. And it works very reliably, consistently and eternally.

Hi,

Yes, I can see that quite well. with failed policies in Iraq and afghanistan and now in Middle east.
I can see the large influx of refugees headed to Europe. With new players coming into the game and threatening the hegemony of super power, with eternal disgrace and failure faced in Afghanistan by a bunch of ragtag cave dwellers. I can see that quite well, even with my weak eyesight

Do you think that is any different than what USSR did in East Europe, or China in Tibet, or India in Kashmir, or Pakistan in Bangladesh? I could go on, but it is all the same.

Hi,

My dear don't stress out here. There is absolutely no sense in going head on with a super power, You would be fool to do such.

If I see a person twice my size, I will never go against him on head to head challenge. rather I will seek to exploit his weaknesses by joining him. If you cant beat them join them.

And the analogy was used in the context of Afghanistan. US never had direct engaged conflict with PAK

well in that case sympathies again , as you are taking the result of the Afghanistan side of the Durand Line, while sadly forgetting the consequences of those very results , on the Pakistani side

Hi,

I'm not sure how is that even related to my post

Hi,

USSR was never a champion of democracy and never stood for the idea of freedom. It was Communist.
Why differs US in this case is the idea that US in the name of freedom, while killing the very same principles.

Flaws of others should never be used to justy ones own flaw. Quite kindegraden approach that is

There is no flaw here to single anyone out. USSR claimed to be a champion of humanity, just like all the other examples I gave above. All of them: china, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UK, USA, the list goes on and on. All the same.

Hi,

Nope it never claimed to be anything of that sort. It was always a backward mentality communist with its Gulag filled with so called dissidents.

. . .
It is time Pakistan know that US will not side with Pakistan on Kashmir. Unless Pakistan hangs Dawood, Hafeez Saeed and other Mumbai terrorists, talks will not commence and US or for that matter no country on the earth can force India to talk with Pakistan.
