UN seeks 'peacekeepers' from Pakistan to bolster mission in South Sudan

Pakistan shouldn't send our troops there, we need them in our country and why our soldiers should put their lives in danger for other country's war. We already have alot at our plate, better to stay away from this sh!t as it's none of our business. UN should ask Bangladesh & India for more troops.
Good question? Why not American troops which are policing Muslim countries?
They should be trained now for peace...bohot hogi war...

We already had a Battalion in Sudan previously.

Sudan (Mar 2005 - Jul 2011)

Pakistani contingent comprising of an Infantry Battalion, Engineering Company, a Transport Company, 2x Aviation flights (3 x Puma and 3 x MI-17 helicopters), a Field hospital and a De-Mining Platoon has been deployed in Sudan since 2005. The contingent repatriated to Pakistan soon on conclusion of the mission after successful referendum in South Sudan which resulted in Independence of a new state of South Sudan. It was responsible for the bordering Blue Nile State.

While, there had been volatility and violence in all other bordering states, Pakistani contingent ensured normalcy in Blue Nile State ever since it arrived in the area. The contingent also remained engaged in rehabilitation and development, de-mining operation in a mined area spread over 125,122 square kilometers in Kurmuk County, and made possible the success of Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) besides smooth conduct of elections in 2010 and referendum in 2011. Pakistan Army's contributions in UN Msn Sudan were as under:-

Pakistan's Contribution: UN Mission in Sudan (UNMIS)

Period From March 2005 - 9 July 2011

Strength
Per Year (Approx) ...1500
Total (Approx) ..........9000

Pakistani contingent is deployed in Darfur since 2008. Our engineers therein are busy in construction of UN infrastructure and development works. Pakistan's contribution is working well on way of bringing back normalcy to the region. Besides, Pakistani Field Hospital Level-3 (only one level 3 field hospital in each Mission) is also providing all kind of medical/ surgical support to the entire UN Mission in Darfur besides providing medical care to the locals especially life saving treatment to the victims of violence and militancy. Pakistan Army's contributions in UN Msn Darfur till date are as under:-

Pakistan's Contribution: UN African Mission in Darfur (UNAMID)

Period From July 2008 till date

Strength
Per Year (Approx) .......508
Total (Approx).............1524

We've been there in the past. But now with the current mess getting out of control, we better stay out. I do not want to see Pakistani soldiers dying in foreign lands over other people's quarrels.

There is nothing to be gained by deploying to South Sudan. We've done our bit already.

Ok... lets finish here, We have lot of mess at home, so we shouldn't send any troops. India should send more troops there.

Selfish chacha... grow a big heart .. sudan needs you right now more then pakistan... so tug your payjama & march over there...:D

I would only like to see our Armed forces Fighting insurgents and Terrorists for the benifit of humanity and not to get involved in Rivalries and messes which are political in nature.
