Ukraine Crisis, Whose position is more justified? Russia or Nato?

Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons in exchange for security including by Russia. Yes this promise is worth 0 dollar.

That’s a lesson for every country.
Once you have nuclear weapons never give up in exchange for worthless paper.
Many Soviet republics gave up nuclear weapons, it's not feasible for small countries to run big nuclear facilites, with or without Russia.

.
Putin just wants to revise the USSR like Erdogan wants the Osman empire or Xi the Tang.

Russia can ask herself why all neighbors want to join the EU and NATO? They want prosperity and protection against the bear obviously.

Blaming that the West has more beautiful girls or better propaganda machine is embarrassing.

Extremely rediculous to dictate others not to do this not to do that.

Putin believes he is God.

If Russia was so bent on revising the USSR, then instead of defending South Ossetia, it would have invaded Georgia, President Vladimir Putin did not allow that to happen. Russia would have also intervened in the Nagorno Karabak conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Instead Russia mediated, unbiased and fair.

If Russia was attempting to rebuild the Soviet Union, then we would have seen the Russian military take the entre region of Donbass. Also to cut off all gas's supplies for Ukraine and the E.U if they interfered.

One cannot compare Russia with Turkey. The latter is a NATO member state which actively trained, armed and protected terrorists in Libya and Syria. We know what took place in Libya, if Turkey wasn't arming terrorists in Libya under the guise of huge construction contracts awarded by Qaddafi government. Then British and French NATO bombing of Libya would not have happened.

In Syria, if it wasn't for Russian intervention, Turkey along with it's NATO partners would have turned Syria into another Libya. Not a lot of people have the sense to realize this, but Russia does not favor Assad, it just does not want to see another Libya in the Middle East.

In Venezuela, if Russia did not reinforce the Maduro government, then today Venezuela would have looked like Panama or Nicaragua.

Not feasible you are a funny joke.
Problem is those small countries are helpless against big hooligans.

You seriously ask why they want to join Nato?

All most all former Soviet republics had nuclear weapons and they all gave them up, how many of them want to join Nato? And if they voiced desire to join Nato before, they wouldn't have gotten their independence in the first place, Russia was fooled by the west and Nato.

Ah come on stop your crocodile tears
You are happy that USSR collapsed.
Vietnam would be still in military alliance with. You would not dare to bully us.

Actually all the trouble between China and Vietnam happened when you were in military alliance with USSR, when you were "protected", after USSR collapsed, no more clashes and conflicts, Vietnam is good at 狐假虎威, when the tiger is gone, the fox becomes very gentle.

Question is, if sh!t hits the fan and all hell break lose, what China has to offer? Russia by itself is weak.
I don't think Russia needs any real help, US dares to do nothing whatsoever.

China has thrown its political weight behind Russia as fears of it potentially invading Ukraine grows, pointing to Moscow’s “legitimate security concerns” in a call to US officials.

Speaking to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Russia’s security concerns over growing tensions in Europe over Ukraine should be “taken seriously”.

“All parties should completely abandon the Cold War mentality and form a balanced, effective and sustainable European security mechanism through negotiation,” China’s top diplomat said on Thursday, according to a foreign ministry statement.

In a nod to Moscow’s concerns about the expansion of the NATO alliance in Europe, Wang added that “regional security cannot be guaranteed by strengthening or even expanding military blocs”.

He also said China opposes “external interference” in how other countries are run.

Tens of thousands of Russian troops have been stationed at the border with Ukraine in recent weeks.

In response, the US and other NATO member states have been conducting intense diplomacy with Russian President Vladimir Putin in recent days, as well as providing military reinforcement to Ukraine.

According to the State Department’s readout of the call, “Secretary Blinken underscored the global security and economic risks posed by further Russian aggression against Ukraine and conveyed that de-escalation and diplomacy are the responsible way forward”.

The US and its NATO allies have said they are ready for any eventuality.

The Russians have a valid point

They have been promised that nato won't ever reaches their borders

Formal or informal, the west has to keep up it's word

Nonsense
You mix up things. Let’s me summarize.
Cambodia attacked Vietnam.
Vietnam invaded Cambodia.
China invaded Vietnam because Vietnamese lives are less worth Cambodians.

As for Russia, I can understand Russia. She wants security warranty. But will Russia give security warranty to Poland?

Russia has a fair point.

There was a point in time when they even wanted to join NATO (both as USSR after WW2 and later as the Russia of the 90s). Both the times, they were rejected with flimsy reasons. The assurance was given that with the dissolution of Soviet Union, there won't be a NATO expansion & also the hostilities towards Russia would cease. But Allies did not stick to their word, as they rampaged through Eastern Europe in the 90s:
  1. Expanding NATO
  2. Causing regime changes across the region
  3. Engaging in direct wars (war with Serbia)
To make it worse, the buck didn't stop with Poland's induction. Baltic states sit and surround Russia's western flank. Inducting Ukraine in NATO would mean that the entire European plains remains exposed and can be used against Russia in war.

. .
Why is this even a question?

Only a CIA-brainwashed dork thinks NATO is correct.

Russia has shown extreme patience with Ukraine.

That is Russia’s backyard and their sphere of influence.
If it was my backyard I would be exactly the same
