The Sinopharm vaccine is more than 90 per cent effective at keeping people infected with the coronavirus out of hospital, according to a study conducted in Abu Dhabi.

Authorities said the research found a significant decrease in the rate of new Covid-19 infections among people who received a second dose of the vaccine in the emirate.

The study, conducted by Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, found the vast majority of those who were infected after completing the course suffered mild symptoms and did not require treatment in hospital.

Only if you take the 2nd dose in 14 days. Chile did a test for 21 days for 2nd dose and it drop from 100% to 80% although it's efficiency has improved.

Not event as efficient as they like when they hoard it. Only Israel did a good job at it by closing their border but the rest can't seem to contain their outbreak.

Even normally, not more than 5% need hospitalisation and not more than 3% need ICU care. So, where is the efficiency? Only prevention of death by 100%% appears to be good. But considering that 5% still have to be admitted and given ICU care shows that when ICU care is difficult to obtain, there will be deaths.
