mRNA is the new frontier not only in vaccines but various pathologies; covid vaccine was just one application for it.

Each country's health dept can make a choice what is best for their country. In our case, our late president died from covid despite being a denier of it. However, he had a point - we never imposed lockdown as the economy would just make life unbearable for the poor which these Chinese have learnt. CCP unfortunately failed to miserably capitalise on preparing for the normalisation. While health care may be good in cities, in the rural areas, it is pretty much basic and will not be able to handle this crisis especially with the elderly.

In our case, authorities kept mum and we were not allowed to report true number of deaths. Life carries on at the end of the day.

Our worry is next variants that will immerge out of originating Wuhan motherland after the mother/child re-unification.

It has been well known that sinovac had a poorer efficacy rate. However, during time of crisis supplies were very difficult if not impossible to obtain from Pfizer/moderna, this was the only solution available. Something is better than nothing. Now, the same is not true like before; there is plenty of supply available.

In terms of omicron, sinovac has marginal efficacy and you may as well drink water. Omicron does not worry me, we have been very fortunate that this came out of southern africa and has petered off the mortality rate vs beta/delta - it is omicron child which has gone to meet Wuham mother = what will come out next from that region.
