That being said you cannot just cut relationship off with people. There are military, intelligence, and economic networks that are built with these countries. These networks are not built overnight. Honestly speaking, If we were to cut off all relationships with UAE who do you think will fill in the gap?

Despite being a major non NATO ally, it turned out to be India which was at the receiving end of the preferential treatment. Pakistan moved closer to China and US towards India and yet US needs Pakistan's assistance to facilitate it's exit from Afghanistan. That's exactly how the International relations roll; it's all about the range of interests, that can't be fulfilled from one corner.
Likewise, the bond that UAE has with Pakistan is symbiotic, both sides have something to gain from each other. However, it goes against the sanctity of our understanding if UAE doesn't have the audacity to even as much as stay neutral on an issue of vital significance to Pakistan. Relations are built on a balance, a tilt on any side will lead it to disruption. For what it's worth, Pakistan must record it's protest with the UAE government.

Is that how it works? Pakistan goes there for free? The problem is that we have people like you in our country who don't want to look inwards and like to look outward. Every Pakistani government since its inception has failed the Kashmiris. The arabs don't owe us anything and the Kashmiri situations not their fault. They are looking out for their interest and that's what Pakistan needs to do. You cannot just cut off relationships with other countries. This is not your neighbor hood chief where you stop talking to the aunties you don't like. This is the real world and you have to be mature. Pakistan trains a lot the arabs and that is an advantage for Pakistan. These relationships aren't built overnight.

I am not saying to cut off relations. I am saying to cut down relations. Why should we provide military co-operation, keep the relations with them as any other normal state. Stop making promises of protecting their borders, stop using your manpower and resources on them, and stop looking for their approval everywhere!

There's no point in this relationship if it doesn't go both ways. A relationship which doesn't go both ways is called Slavery, come out of your slave mentality.
