Yes to a large extent do agree with you, they helped us economically so did the Saudis. This mess we are facing today is primarily our fault, choosing swines as leaders over the past 6+ decades has made us economically weak to do anything, we cant afford war, but we don't seem to have a choice, its a lose-lose situation either way. Unless a miracle happens...

@Indus Pakistan
well same as above, we bought this on our selfs, sh1t planning and education = lower employment opportunities. in todays world money talks, india has more of it, hence it has greater leverages. If the arabs abandoned Jerusalem, (3rd holiest place in Islam) what makes you think they going to help Pakistan, in their eyes they helped Pakistan enough (financially). Unfortunately not an ideal situation for us...

Yes, I agree Saudi's are more nuanced but they could easily bend UAE. They have enormous infuence in GCC.

UAE = Puddhus, I feel the Saudis don't want to stir it due to Yemen, have to take that into consideration.

And what exactly have they done? gave us aid? lemme tell you something, it suits middle east that pakistan keeps coming back to them for aid. An economically giant Pakistan is a direct threat to their interests. And do i have to remind you what a huge country of 6th largest population have lost because of their political interference, sectarian interference? All of crooks were saved and were given exile by these baradars. Protecting them was destroying Pakistan. And they in return secured their interests when they were in power. Gawadar port, balochistan, karachi, who do you think didn't let them grow. By installing their puppets who protected their business interests? And in return they gave us some pennies? By not letting our skilled diaspora to be employed instead had put Indians on key positions who in the end employed their country men in low-tier jobs. India had earned 80 billion dollars in remittances in 2018. A huge chunk coming from middle east, mainly UAE. They want Pakistanis to fight their wars for them, serve them and in return they insight violence in Pakistan, strategically help our arch rival in every way, economically, politically and ideologically. So please keep your mantra of bradarism to yourself.

Yep and that bundle of money is then used to buy pellet guns to blind the Kashmiris.

Bravo brother. Bravo. India earned almost $60 billion from GCC most of it from UAE via remittances. But they gave Pakistan $1 billion chanda. And like beggers we are supposed to be grateful. Please read my signature below. We got baksheesh. India got jobs and trade.

JOBS not baksheesh. TRADE not aid.

Exactly and these apologists come and tell us how great our baradars are. I get very amazed on the mindset of some that for them their own country and her interest comes second to some baradar neighbors.

UAE has done much more for pakistanis then any chini mini or turkey
chinese were partners in crime with nawaz.while his pocket was increasing so is chinese money

Han jee if it wasn't for 'Chini mini' India would have tried to shut the river taps off a long time ago, or at the very least sabotaged them.
As much as I love all the other allies it's China who has the geographic advantage which is the biggest ace card around.

THE FACTS: UAE is the cash register of India. Just look at the dollars rolling into India and where they come from.

$35.9 billion! Good God!!!!
Here I was thinking it was around 12-15 billion dollars.
There's a fair bit from the US, but then Trump is seeing to that (H1-B visa) :p:

Well UAE still took punitive measures against al Jazeera and if I remember correctly nearly put it out of business together with help from other gulf Arab nations. I think al Jazeera has showed more of the human suffering in Kashmir than any other major international networks, all of whom simply trot out Indian narratives.

This might be the case on Kashmir's current plight, which is certainly welcome.

Their general reporting, however, remains very similar to other western media, and perhaps the recent developments have allowed more traditional elements to take the front seat due to current western ambiguity on the question of freedom.

This could be classed as being independent, but I'm not entirely convinced they are a trust worthy source in the long run.

does world bank consider all of Kashmir part of india? the image you posted indicates this.
Please don't deflect from the substance of the matter. Which was that Gulf is India's cash cow.If that huge dollar flow was blocked it would cause massive economic issues inside India and would hurt Modi's electoral support.

*Ps. We can easily fix the map with Microsoft Paint. But we can't so easily fix that Pakistan is broke and India is being flooded with dollars from our 'baradars' in the Gulf.

And that is from 2015 data.

"Indian residents of the UAE accounted for 34.2 per cent of total remittances in the fourth quarter of last year, which amounts for Dh39.9 billion, according to the Central Bank of the UAE.

Money sent back home in the last quarter of 2018 was 7.7 per cent down against the same period in 2017, according to Central Bank data published on the state-run news agency Wam.

The report found Dh30.4bn in remittances were transferred through exchange houses and Dh9.5bn were wired from banks.

Trailing India was Pakistan, where beneficiaries received 9.4 per cent of total remittances from the UAE. "

Just look at the difference.

Ambassador expressed hope that it would help improve the social and economic conditions

New Delhi: The UAE has taken note of the Indian government’s decision of non-operationalisation of some sections of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, said Dr Ahmad Al Banna, the UAE ambassador to India.

Dr Al Banna added: “We also took note of the introduction of Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill in the Indian Parliament aimed at replacing Article 370 with the creation of Ladakh region and the state of Jammu and Kashmir as India’s two new Union Territories.”

He commented that from his understanding the reorganisation of states is not a unique incident in the history of independent India and that it was mainly aimed at reducing regional disparity and improving efficiency. He viewed this latest decision related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir as an internal matter as stipulated by the Indian Constitution.

The honourable ambassador of UAE thinks the move by Modi will help to improve the conditions of the Kashmiri people. Is Pakistan making a mistake making ruckus about this? Thoughts people?
