UAE added to FATF gray list

.
About time. UAE is central to money laundering around the world, as is London.

.
No one cares about that--happens in west all the time. It is because of their position on Russia-Ukraine conflict.

let's start again.
this was decided in January. Russian thing happened a few days ago. UAE thought if they abstained from postponed backing america they'll be kept out of FATF in exchange for their vote. they thought they had leverage.

Not much exact idea. The parking seems to be in various places including the Caribbean. In another thread just some minutes ago I was talking about Modi's PM election promise in 2014 that said if people vote for him then he will bring back the illegal wealth outside and that it is so much that every citizen from among the 1.4 billion population will be given 15 lakhs. I was actually asking a Modi supporter in that thread as to where my 15 lakhs is after eight years of the promise and Modi's PMship. :D

hit a raw nerve did I? how much have you stolen and parked in the emirates? bitter about the UK? did they refuse you a visa?

No, you did not.
Son, I was a simple job-oriented person, not a penny stolen/parked/earned from Pakistan. Whatever I have all earned here. After becoming redundant staff due Covid, received funds invested in the business but faced very bitter hard-ships. Business at the lower end in UAE is not an easy thing. I have to make a final decision to move back to the pavilion.

The UK has a long history of atrocities, I am not bitter about the UK, they themselves bitter about them and still carry it on but in modern form. One thing positive they are providing rights to the expatriates which in ME is a dream.

PS: I can't believe people are naïve enough to believe the official line. Americans are tightening the screws on UAE after their stance on Russia-Ukraine conflict.
And what happens if UAE and other GCC start backing CIPS. IMO, all MENA countries should have financial systems that use SWIFT and CIPS.

So is the UK, London is home to all the biggest money launderers in the world.
USA as well (just based on the size of its economy and financial system). All you need is to setup a shell company and trust and you can launder as much money as you want.

It was just a matter of time when the middle east starts falling out of favour. Oil isn't as valuable as is used to be. With electrification in Europe, this irrelevancy is accelerated.
UAE licked US boots to coast through the past 30 40 years but I think they are in for a bumpy ride now.
With their ignorance, they will find out what it has been for other Muslims countries on the receiving end of US diplomacy.

it is very politically motivated given how KSA has been given the free hand.

.
is it because it is a haven for money launderers and criminals of the world (including fat pandit chor and sayyad ghardari)?

The biggest hub of money launderers and criminals in the world is LONDON.

And I dont see it being added to the grey list. Tells you a lot about all those shady organizations.
