Why is Trump kowtowing before North Korea and allowing them to develop a much larger nuclear arsenal?

It's a given that the USA has no interest in fighting China or Russia, as we saw in Scarborough Shoal in 2012 and Crimea in 2014.

Bear in mind that the USA has a full mutual defence treaty with the Philippines, yet they failed to help them when China took over their territory in 2012. And they have no interest in stopping Chinese island building in the rest of the South China Sea, they haven't even lifted a finger against a single inch of newly created Chinese soil there.

China have more aircraft than the US? You know just the bone yard alone, the USAF have 1200 ready reserve aircraft store there, those arent crap fighter either, they are early version of F-16, F-15 and F-14 and some F-18 too.
