U.S. Jet Shoots Down Turkish Drone Over Syria

Iran is losing big time to Turkiye.

Why?

Turkiyeh is losing, Iran would not have hesitated to destroy that F-16 if hostile actions were against their assets.

In spite of having S-400 turks has let their anka being destroyed and have low profile.

Iran always responds, not like turks. Iran way stronger, US would never do this to Iran.

Iran is a weak nation.

The Azeris in Northern Iran support Turkiye and Azerbaijan.

The Baloch in the East want to join Pakistan.

The Arab in the West support Iraq.

According to the Turkish media it's a TB2, which according to the US authorities, was within 1km of the US forces...

Meanwhile, the US CJCS called his Turkish counterpart at the middle of the night. The Turkish side is carrying out the ops as usual with more aerial assets to pound on PKK/YPG facilities identified by the intelligence. Long range artillery and special forces are in the game too...

As for the Turkish nation, they are born at their homes, and they die at the battlefields. No surprises here....

It's the Turkish versions of: we will not think to retaliate, but we will retaliate; you'll not be able to sunrise us, we will surprise you etc...

It's been 7 hours and the Turkish government is completely silent. Not even a tweet condemning the shootdown of this drone. Absolutely shameful.

And Turkish media isn't reporting it, we'll just pretend this never happened.
Best not to make a big deal out of it. The Turkish military says its not theirs and its one of the intelligence group's. U.S. shot it down because it was close to the U.S. forces on the ground. And first time every shooting down a Turkish drone. And it was probably to the point of dropping a bomb or missile on them and the last thing you want is Turkey an ally accidentally killing American troops. Worse than losing the drone.

America have 1,1358 modern fighter jets.

They can easily attack both Iran and turkey in same time from their bases and aircraft carriers, and we can't attack American land to respond.

America is look like a bully.

Turkish UCAV strikes on PKK-YPG targets hurts USA
if We lost 1 ANKA UCAV , USA lost hundreds of millions of Dollars PKK-YPG terrorist facilities in Syria included weapons and ammunition storage warehouses, electrical - energy power plants, sabotage units and more

Turkish Air Force has started using F-16s to hit PKK-YPG terrorist facilities in Syria
and USA can not stop Turkiye by downing a Turkish UCAV

Our counterterrorism operations will continue with full speed until Türkiye reaches its goals in Syria and northern Iraq

Türkiye hits PKK terrorist targets in Northen Iraq too

It is a game of patience and a war of attrition.

1 drone for 6 oil wells and numerous power plants and distribution facilities. More than ten gray-listed terrorists and outposts used by pkk/pyd militants. The withdrawal of US personnel from many facilities in the first wave of attacks, so that the terrorists lost their protective shields in many places.

I don't think it was a bad exchange for a downed done.

MIT can replace one downed drone with two new ones in a few days. We didn't lose pilots, we didn't lose personnel, everything is being directed through the console from hundreds of kilometers away from the operational area.

But as the Pkk loses its illegal commercial activities, Centcom's cost of carrying the Pkk on its back will increase. US taxpayers, take charge!

For us, there are two issues here, one is that the Ministry of Interior has recently continued its determined policy to eradicate the PKK's drug trade, and the other is that the PKK is no longer able to use oil wells. Once the terrorist organization collapses economically, Centcom's adventure through these terrorist organizations will become even more questionable.

I think there are two or three threads on the same topic, it would be useful if mods could merge them.

My opinion on the matter is summarized as follows:

@waz

turks should shoot down usa drones and say nothing.

No need

The two countries will warn each other but will not confront each other directly. They have lost much more than a drone, the cost of carrying the terrorist organization they support increased by several hundred million dollars yesterday alone. As long as this continues, it will be necessary to put another zero at the end of these figures. It would be wiser to define the differences of opinion among the US institutions than to pursue a policy that would lead them to a consensus.

Wth are American troops doing in Syria with PKK-YPG Terrorists ?
Turkiye has warned forces of third countries to stay away from facilities controlled by the PKK-YPG

in my opinion USA sent a message to Turkiye not to cross 30 km dept line

A Turkish UCAV was shot down by the U.S. military in Hasakah

US shot down a drone that was operating very close to American troops as noted in here. This is where I think the US has drawn a line.

US doesn't care about Turkish strikes on Syrian infrastructure and individuals on a broader level. SDF was created to tackle ISIL in Syria - when this mission is complete, SDF might be disbanded.

US and Turkey should find a way to tackle ISIL in Syria as noted in here.
SDF shall be convinced to drop PKK fighters, if this helps.

.
USA cares about a zone which wants to create PKK-YPG terror state in Syria
(Restricted Operation Zone)

and Hasakah is in restricted operation zone

USA doesnt want Turkiye to cross 30 km dept line to attack PKK-YPG terrorists

And Turkish attacks on American - PKK-YPG infrastructure and individuals in Syria

Turkish UCAVs use laser guided munition to hit the targets with pinpoint accuracy in Hasakah
and about 1 km from where American forces were located
