Chinese Americans have played a major role in the US tech industry and continues to do so. Leading firms like Nvidia, Lam Research, Zoom to Youtube and Yahoo and more have had Chinese American founders. Not to mention Chinese Americans are a big part of the STEM talent pool in Silicon Valley.

The reason why China has lagged behind in the modern era was because they were not industrialized and didn't have the STEM talent pool, capital and market to create an engine of innovation. That has all changed.

History goes through cycles. In the medieval ages, Europe lagged behind the Arab world and China in technological advancement.

Too many conflicts happened in China in the last 150 years.

Today is the when peace and order really established.

Zoom is a success story because it is made in America. If Zoom is made in China by the same people, nobody will use it outside China.

It'd be a success story inside China.

The only major Chinese internet company that has expanded overseas successfully is Bytedance who owns Tik Tok.

Facebook, google, youtube, twitter are products of 2G or 3G. Tiktok is product of 4G. I think there will more Chinese internet companies that will gain world wide success in 5G.

That's exactly why 5G was so central to China's national strategy. They saw it as a way to build a platform of success for next generation tech. It is a brilliant strategy.

American scientists & engineers r 2nd rate. That's y America lost the 5G race to Huawei. Good luck to America trying to dispose of Asians with higher cranial volume/capacity. Losing big brains means losing leads in future tech to come...

The other thing I thought was dumb was u notice each new version of Windows is slower and more bloated than the previous one helped only by faster hardware. Its like the West/America was purposely trying to make their corporations less productive to help China rise faster...

I hope talented Chinese in the US will be consistently mistreated (and spat at) by the US govt and its people so that their US dreams will get shattered (and see the true color of racist Americans) and they will eventually return to China and contribute to their real homeland.

NVIDIA and Lam Research, which are critical players in chip tech, are operated by Chinese Americans. Albeit they are not of Mainland origin but if this persecution spreads, it will affect all ethnic Chinese regardless of their origin.
