U.S. aircraft carrier enters Gulf without incident

Was there ever any doubt as to the complete freedom of the US fleet to roam international waters, the world over, and including the Strait of Hormuz?

Just think about if Iran's ships are sailing near US borders...........what will be US reaction..:mod:

We would send the 'Girls Gone Wild' girls to temp the Iranians. While they are distracted by boobs, the USN SEALs would be attaching all sorts of monitoring devices to the Iranian ships.

That is a hypothetical situation, given the lack of a blue water Iranian Navy that can project itself that far.

Let's just imagine if some old Soviet SSBN that somehow went missing turns out in the Atlantic some 300 km of the East coast with Iranian flags

During the Cold war, Soviet SSBNs and warships regularly parked themselves off the Atlantic and the Pacific coast of the US and they did this without trying to conceal their location. Russia has resumed these activities since 2002. In December 2008, the Russian warship, Admiral Chabanenko transited through the Panama Canal. I don't see any problem with Iranian warship coming close to the US coast as long as they remain in international waters.

I dont see why Iran should ask them to stay away, The more there is in the PERSIAN gulf, there more they will destroy.

I cannot say what will really happen as war is unpredictable. Iran v USA is not Iran intention,Iran wants an excuse to destory saudi, uae oil fields...and arabs+west trying to open the hurmuz will give them an excuse.

by the way for 100th time transit from strait of Hormuz
means passing through Iran territorial water there is
no way a big ship can pass through UAE part of the Strait

And just how can it realistically get there without being detected while it is thousands of miles away?

The logic of parity does not apply here. USA is a superpower. Iran is not. Simple.

What was the U.S. reaction to Soviet warships near the U.S.? Nothing happened. Did we threaten them nope.

International waters are international. We had Soviet warships in the Gulf of Mexico and especially swarming all around Cuba for decades. Maritime law permits 100% free transit. We did nothing about it.

The Florida straights is an approximation. These waters were transited by Soviets hundreds if not thousands of times. We didn't shout "We will put you at the bottom of the straights if you DARE transit."

Why do these guys keeping asking the same question over and over despite the question having been answered over and over?
