Two Trains Collide in Sri Lanka
Two trains have collided near the Alawwa Railway Station in Kurunegala a short while ago.
The General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways said that the accident occurred when an oncoming train hit a train that was at the station.
He added that over twenty (20) people have been injured and one person has died in the collision. Hospital sources confirmed that around twenty have been admitted to the Alawwa Hospital.

One person has been reported killed and over 20 injured following a collision between two trains in Alawwa. The injured have been admitted to the Alawwa Hospital. According to hospital sources, the seriously injured are being transferred to the Kurunegala Hospital.
