Two militants were killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in Keran sector near the line of control in Kashmir as they were trying to sneak into Azad Kashmir (Azad Kashmir), a defence spokesman said on Friday.
The two militants were killed during an operation launched by Army in Keran sector of Kupwara district on Thursday following a specific input about their movement in the area, the spokesman said.
He said the militants were trying to move from valley to Azad Kashmir.
The identity of the slain militants was not immediately know, the spokesman said, adding two weapons have been recovered from the scene of the encounter.
