News report that 2 BND agents were attacked in their car in Saudi Arabia. It looks like several guys on motorbikes and equipped with machine guns started to attack them. Our agents were able to escape but the armored car is basicly destroyed. The embassy in Riad tries to get information what exactly happened. The local authorities try to get informations what exactly happened. It happened in eastern saudi arabia

My limited German tells me that this attack happened in the city of Awamiya which is basically the most dangerous city of KSA. It is inhabited by Shia's which make up 5% of the KSA population. Awamiya is the city where all the protests in KSA happened.

We should bulldoze it anyway.

I'm sorry for Hasani that his country is becoming too dangerous for diplomats to travel in.

This will definitely make foreign governments take notice and issue new warnings not to travel in the lawless land of Saudi.

The problem is that the desert criminals behind these attacks can live in the desert and sustain themselves on Lizards and other strange foods. So it's hard to flush them out.

That is definitly not true. The article says our embassy is is close contact with the saudi officials to get more informations. Luckily nobody got hurt (beside the car). The article also states that the city is in an unsafe region. aparanetly the car had stopped when several motorcycles stopped next to it and ordered our agents to step out. They did ignore that and drived away and then were hunted for a long distance. The attackers shot at them but the car is armored so nothing bad happened. They agents were also armed with handguns and fired back. The car somehow catched fire and the two BND agents had to get out. A local helped them and did hdie them in his house till authorities picked them up.

Actually Arabs lived across the Arabian Peninsula, Iraq and the Levant 3000 years ago. Jews arrived from Egypt.

Jews considered camels as sacred animals. All kind of animals were great back then. Be it the camels, the world famous Arabian horses, sheep, donkeys etc. You know back then when cars, trains, planes etc. were not invented yet. Arabs though colonized half of the known world and established dozens of empires that Jews could only dream about thanks to a lot of things among them the famous Arabian boats.

Actually borders of KSA are next to Israel and Jordan which os considered part of the Arabian Peninsula geographically and also historically (partially) was there way before any Jews.

That's great. If you want to travel on animals in Israel do you then have other alternatives than sheep or donkeys? I mean do you have horses?

I know that Arabs travelled a lot to steal other people's land. You seem proud of this. We were just happy with the land of Israel. The home of the Jews. I'm not equipped to comment on this as of right now though, all what we know for sure is that the Diplomats were assaulted by three of the Eastern-Based 85 list of wanted terrorists.

Stupidly enough the diplomats didn't use a rental, instead, they used their own car. As soon as the car entered Al-Salhyiah district, it was picked up by four motorcycles, showered by tens of bullets, till the APD came to their way to rescue them.
