Two front war | Which nation will ally with India against SinoPak ?

America won't even help their closest allies like South Korea (whom they have a mutual defence pact with) when they are getting bombed and having hundreds of sailors killed in a single incident in 2010 by North Korea.

They wouldn't help Georgia when Georgia got invaded by Russia. Though to be fair, Russia is serious business in a fight, unlike North Korea above.

And America wouldn't even help their ALLY Pakistan either.

So why on Earth would they help a non-ally like India? Especially India, who is stubbornly "non-aligned" and likes to thumb their noses at America over issues like Iran?

They will do what is best for their own interests.

As Roybot pointed out, losing India as a country is not in America's interests... since India though non-aligned still acts as a hedge against the regional aspirations of both China and Pakistan.

But it would be in America's interests for India to lose a war against China + Pakistan, because it would finally shake the stupid "non-aligned" ideas out of India's head and force India to run to the US camp, giving up their independent foreign policy and becoming yet another military ally of America.

An angry and disillusioned India, forced to give up their non-alignment and run into the US camp, would be the best thing for America's strategic interests in the region.

As Roybot said India has the second largest standing army with nukes and advanced delivery system, so India doesn't actually require any help. I hope you realize, India is not spending billions of dollars on developing nukes and delivery system for fun

Nukes are irrelevant when both China and India have "No First Use" policies. Since neither side can nuke first, there is no way they could come into play.

And even if the above were not the case, India's total nuclear arsenal is only about 1 megaton in total, made up of mostly 20 kt fission devices. No thermonuclear weapons.

Whereas even ONE single Chinese thermonuclear weapon is around 4 megatons. One single Chinese nuke has 4 times the explosive power of India's entire arsenal.

During the Cold War, China was prepared to fight and survive a nuclear war with both the USA and Russia, with the casualties estimated in the hundreds of millions.

After that, what threat is India's nuclear arsenal which is only 1 megaton in total, and with the Agni V not even inducted yet?

Though I'm very glad to see that Indians have resorted to the "we have nukes" argument, which is something they are always accusing the Pakistani members of doing.

what and you think Pakistan and China are just sitting back and watching you guys spend billions of dollars in delivery systems and developing nukes? We are also doing the same and so is China, but yeah a war of this sort would be absolutely catastrophic, Something that should never happen. Improve relations be friendly, Your Generals talk alot but no action. Look how china invaded more of your territory and you guys did nothing. Theres a video even on Live Leak where you see Chinese Soldiers intruding Indian Territory and all you're doing is telling them to go back nicely or holding them from moving a few feet further in your territory, Too scared to do anything. If an army comes into your territory the first thing you do is shoot the sh.it out of them to tell them not to fu.ck with you. But what did you do? Just sat there and watched. All you do is Talk the Talk but never actually walk the walk.

Actually it's a very logical and effective tactics the Pakistanis are masterly doing it for a decade. "We have nukes too" statement is well effective in case of averting a possible defeat in conventional warfare.

I feel the question itself is outdated. In the modern world, direct military conflict between nuclear powers is almost unthinkable.

The way to fight India is not militarily, but economically and socially. In fact, any overt military threat works to India's advantage because it unites the country against external threats.

The fact is that India (like many other countries) is an artificial entity which will break apart given the right stimuli. Indians will not admit it, especially on a Pakistani forum, but anyone who has interacted with Indians in real life knows that, after the obligatory 'unity in diversity' platitudes, the regional and ethnic chauvinism shines through. With proper nurturing in the context of an economic squeeze, this regionalism can mushroom into full-fledged separatism.

The good news for India is that neither Pakistan nor China possesses the means or skill to pull this off.

Could the US and the UK do it if they were so inclined? You better believe it!

Though the scenario is hypothetical at best...if it happes then its like 1/3rd of all humanity going at war and sh!t will hit the fan...it will already have become a multi country war and Pakistan and China have enough p!ssed off enemies of their own, so in the fog of war one never knows who all would get involved.

There are many options open on India's side as potential allies, but none on Pakistan and China's side besides each other..or possibly Bangladesh - mighty foolish if they do.

Words like courage is not even relevant anymore. There is a threshold, call it "nuclear capability threshold", and once a country goes past that threshold, they don't need to fear anyone. China is way past the threshold, India is on its way.

We all saw the video of PLA soldiers openly pushing their way into Indian territory without resistance.

India can open fire on the Bangladeshi border and the Pakistani border regardless of whether they are soldiers, civilians or even cattle traders. But on the Sino-Indian border India does not fire a shot even though we push deep into Indian territory and stay there for weeks.

Like it or not, the ones who lack "courage" in your own words, are the Indian leaders themselves.
