Srinagar: Two Army personnel were killed and four others injured on Saturday in a gunfight between militants and security forces in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
"Two Army personnel were killed and four others including an officer injured in the encounter with militants in Marsari village of Chowkibal border area," a senior police officer told IANS here.

"The house in which the militants were holed up has been destroyed in the operation."

Security forces including Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) surrounded a house in Marsari village last evening on information that a group of militants were hiding there.
When the security forces closed in on the house, the militants opened fire.

The two victims succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

How many terrorists are killed in 2016 alone,the rate which security forces cleansing the valley there won't any single terrorist left by 2020 ( taking 90s as a comparison)

I honestly wish these terrorists to be local Kashmiris and not from other side just to teach their family and Separatist a lessons and a warning for others about their fate.

The number of encounters has suddenly spiked up in 2016, this is not possible without active local support, which is helping the army to gather intelligence.

Remember this are not terrorist attacks or ambushes, but security forces storming into terrorist hideouts to neutralize them. Someone on the ground is giving their specific locations.

Yes, they will be wiped out soon and maybe we will be able to hold south Asian games in Sri nagar sometime, as we are doing in Guwahati. According to some people here in PDF, there is an active separatist movement going on there.
