I doubt it. Neither Russia or Turkey is willing to escalate the tentions. Russia got their message across so i doubt they want any more trouble.

Russia is getting such kind of messages from long time. Remember Ukraine, Georgia. You were pretending to clean shit caused by you in Syria and then Russia jumped in to clear it himself whereas you were busy in sending clear messages to Russia.

They wouldn't be stupid enough to take down a Russian one though. Russia could easily finish Turkey..

Well Turkey does have a very credible powerful military, if you think Russia can 'easily' finish Turkey then i think you need to revise your knowledge about Turkey. Moreover Turkey is part of our NATO and we will be force to defend Turkey if Russia started a war against Turkey, not just because we want to, but simply because we have to. And we will all know how that will turn out for Russia in case it got into anu conflict with NATO. However Russia might try and play the nuclear card since its conventional forces will be no match for an expeditionary war against NATO.

Anyway, i dont thnk this news is a credible news , will need to wait for more infos. even if it is, it will be more likely a failed state syrian fighter jet than Russia.

Israel also shot down a Russian plane some time ago and Russia didnt do jack-shit against it.
This ismt a game nobody will start a war because a plane is shoot down.

I have no doubt about it. If Russia goes for an all out attack on Turkey how long do you think they can withstand it? They will simply bomb them into oblivion.

Now, as far the involvement of NATO is considered, the whole scenario is different then and simply too complex.
