TB2 infographic from Baykar
EzLzfXRVcAcuNwg

  • A record of 93% domestic contribution,
  • Unique design of Turkish engineers,
  • Nationally design equipment, avionics, aerodynamics and mechanics,
  • All coding belongs to the Turkish engineer teams and all of these are running on indigenous softwares,
  • 3 redundant control and navigation systems, flight computer,
  • All critical parts and components were locally designed, developed and made.

Unfortunately, due to the operational success of TB2, it has become the subject of disinformation and smear campaigns, especially by certain circles.

TB2 has been left behind hundreds of tanks, artillery systems, air defense systems and armored vehicles; created military cemeteries in excess of billion dollar with 300,000 flight hours.

And its legacy will continue with TB3.

Turkey diversifies its UAV ammunition: • Carrying out nearly 60 projects
@SageTubitak
made Bozok and Togan ready for mass production for UAVs • The Kuzgun Modular Ammunition Family is also being developed for use with UAVs and jets.

Aselsan SAKA nano-UAV is going to have;
3-axis stabilized multi-spectral camera
Cave and disclosed area mapping and target recognition ability via image recognition

One another nano-UAV is going to have 2-fixed camera, and much smaller compared to Saka in size (less than 100gr)

Aselsan is going to develop these in cooperation with DASAL, affiliated company of Aselsan specializing on mini and nano drones.

Such a beautiful and deadly bird. I would love to see this bird equipped with naval sensors and SOM-J Missiles in Pakistan Navy colors. @Zarvan @Bilal Khan (Quwa)

I thought large types of UAVs were unnecessary for Pakistan, but a system with long stays and have naval sensors and anti-ship missiles would come in handy for any naval force. Hopefully it will be used with a radar like Erieye in the future. By the way, I don't know whether 2 SOM J on the wings or a single Som C2 under the fuselage would be more useful.

Hope Pakistan looks at this product from Turkey, and license produces it in Pakistan. I’d assume a relatively affordable platform, such that each FC and/or Army base could be equipped with it.

Relatively simple design, and relatively cost effective munitions (even if guided versions are used). Would be very good for the FC and border guards along the long western borders.

A cost effective way to solve the CAS needs of the FC.

How does Turkey plan to use these?

Tubitak Sage TOGAN is 81mm smart air-to-ground mortar system that primarily developed for mini UCAV systems. You see the carry and drop tests in the video, but when the system is put into service, it will carry 8 mortar on its pylon, which means incredible firepower for a drone in this class.. Togan consists of the pylon, which provides multiple-carry and release in unmanned aerial vehicles, and the fire control system integrated into the pylon, which was developed as the weight equivalent of the NATO 81 mm mortars in the inventory. It is aimed to obtain relatively low-cost air-ground ammunition by giving air-firing capability to fragment-effect mortar shells with increased Anti Personnel efficiency. The fire control system integrated into the Pylon can calculate the predicted trajectory at 100Hz. In this way, the ammunition drop point is calculated precisely. In addition, using DTED, surface and stroke time control are performed on the pylon in real time.

Apart from DASAL, many other mini/tactical UCAV developments are in progress in this class that will use smart mortar system. Many of them have been shared before on this forum. The large number of projects in this area reinforces the idea that these drones and air-to-ground mortar shells are intended to be widely used at the troop level.
