Turkish troops fire across Syria border, kill Kurd 02/10/2012
During the night from Monday (October 1) to Tuesday (October 2), Turkish soldiers opened fire without warning on Kurdish fighters of the People's Defense Units (YPG). The YPG-fighters were on Syrian territory in the village Til Lelon, near the border town Dirbesiye. In this attack the Turkish army killed a YPG fighter and two others were injured.

The Kurdish news agency Firatnews reported: "During a border patrol, the Turkish army opened fire from the other side of the border. The YPG-fighter Hogir Beşir Erebo lost his life."

Hogir Besir Erebo came from the village of Mele.
His body was brought to Qamishli (Qasimo Mosque), the other two injured YPG-fighters were brought to the hospital

The Kurds in Syria have gained control over some territories the YPG provide protection inside these areas. Ankara repeatedly mentioned that it won't allow the creation of a Kurdish autonomy region inside Syria. Neither the FSA nor the Assad government troops are allowed to set foot into the Kurdish areas controlled by the YPG.

In the video you can see the commemorative rally for the Kurdish fighter Hogir Beşir Erebo in the city of Qamişlo.
