After infantry equipment expert Can Yazici/Hun_Alpha had the chance to visit MKEK he gave us the following information for the barrel of MPT 76 and Bora 12:
After firing with Bora 12 on 100m they managed to achieve 0.3-0.34 MOA with 170 grain Lapua Scenar ammunition making the barrel as high quality as its European counterparts but on lower price.
While the effective range of MPT 76 is 600m he reported that units were putting sniper rifle optics and managed to use it effectively at distances like 900-1000m.

The barrel life of MPT 76 is 15.000 rounds. While they were testing MPT 76 in MKEK's factory they made a test with a barrel which had 20.000 rounds fired from it. They made the test with a 147 grain M80 7.62x51 ammunition and managed to achieve MOA of 3,5 while the standard for its counterparts is 4.0 MOA at 5.000 rounds.
He concludes for us that the barrel is the most important part for a riffle and MPT 76 have the best barrel in its class!

The one was one of the staff from TrMilitary and normally big critic over Turkish products (with a right). If that guy is saying so shiny words I don't know... Normally you would see him bashing and destroying them.Nice, but we need an independent tester (non Turk).

Who are we? Not remembering Russians testing German rifles either.Nice, but we need an independent tester (non Turk).

Oh-My-God! I've lived long enough to see Hun_Alpha writing here. Welcome! Visit us more often and keep enlightening us. With respect and regards! Wish you everything good.Hellö, dears. hope you miss me. I'm Hun_Alpha. Ok, first of all, MKE isn't a R&D company. It's make serial production of weapons and there is other factories belongs to MKE. We were at small arms factory. R&D in firearms industry is a long story. Thats a big lake right now and hundreds of man from military, ex. military and civilians create this(From goverment agencies not from private sector). I know couple of this men. I also proud for become very little part of it. For Bora-12, You can make 1cm groups in 100 meters. That grouping photo belongs to my friend from Jandarma and you can see that 1cm groups.
For the MPT76, I dont like the buttstock, handguard shape, but alls are cosmetic. Working system is exellent for an Ar10. If you feed it with 2014 or newer MKE M80 work well. Barrel is a totally diffrent story. Very similar with Bora-12 but 1:10 twist rate and 6 groove it makes this rifle a beast. You can shoot from the Turkish inventory 168 grain A-MAX, you can shoot 170 grain Lapua Scenar and it handle it. If you look inside of the finished barrel you can see a mirror with grooves. "A COATING" with nice polishing. And hell yeah its top secret . Thats make the quality. I told again for barrel R&D isnt belongs to MKE. They are mass producer and they work well with quality control. With that coating barrel life 15000 shoots. When we go there they give us their factory test rifle with 20K shooted barrel. You need a big balls for shoot this but we trust the Quality Control, they check the rifle every 500 shot for the deformation in barrel. With the good Irons sights(especially I really like front sight) I shoot 3.5 moa. Some of my friends in Turkish Commando Unit, put a quality rifle scope in rifle and challenge it they reach 1000 meter. Its far, they not make cold bore shots but they hit the target. If you have high quality AR10, like Larue, KAC SR25K,DD5 you have similar result with that range, but lower barrel life, lower durability. For more wait my MPT-76 review in DefenceTurk.
Cheers.
