I love how overkill those look in civilian clothing. I also love how it says "Made in Turkey" in massive letters. What are the estimates for replacing the entire army supply with these rifles? Is it like 2020 or 2023? It would be great to see every unit equipped with these as soon as possible. If I was a soldier right now, seeing that large "Made in Turkey" emblem and the Turkish flag on the rifle would seriously encourage me on the field and I'm not even the extreme patriot type of guy. I hope that these guns will also bring luck for our soldiers.

Sarsılmaz Ranked First in the Handgun Race



Turkish arms manufacturer Sarsılmaz has been awarded a 110 thousand-weapon contract for its handgun developed under "Original Indigenous Gun Project'. According to the statement made by the company on its official Instagram page, the company successfully completed the test-firings cunducted under national handgun project.

Currently weighing 780 grams, the weight of the handgun will be reduced to meet Turkish Undersecreteriat for Defence Industries (SSM) requirements. SSM will also be the one to decide the name of the weapon.

The new handguns will be delivered to Turkish Land and Air Forces as well as Coast Guard Command and Turkish National Police (EGM), one-sixth of the 110 thousand-gun order is assigned for law enforcement forces.

On the other hand, SSM issued another and independent tender to purchase 40 thousand handguns for EGM. Along with Sarsılmaz, Samsun Yurt Savunma and TISAS also compete in both tenders. Reportedly, during the tender, test-firings will be conducted with the handguns and the process is almost completed.

[SHOT 2018] The RMR Revolution comes to Turkey: Girsan RMR mounted MC 28 T

Girsan has added a Trijicon RMR mount to the companies 9x19mm MC 28 T, making it the countries first production handgun to roll off the line with a handgun optic mounted to the slide. It appears that the RMR mounted is a brightness adjustable Type 1 that can be turned on and off with the adjustment buttons on the left and right side of the device. Unlike the rest of the MC 28 line from Girsan, the MC 28 T has diagonal cuts in the slide, revealing what appears to be a fluted barrel underneath, and an extended barrelwith what appears to be an octagonal muzzle crown. The crown doesn’t appear to be threaded for a suppressor or other muzzle device. Another difference is that this handgun lacks the manual safetypresent



Overall it appears that the MC 28 T was designed as a sort of economical race gun, with the lightening cuts, fluted barrel, and holographic sight. We weren’t able to get a word on MSRP as the Girsan booth is simply the Turkish company making the handgun, and not the importer into the United States.

One glaring issue with how Girsan is offering this setup is that the RMR is by itself, with no iron sights to back up the holographic sight if the batteries go down or it becomes ineffective. Where there should be a back up rear sight, there isn’t. And even if there was, the front sight isn’t suppressor height. Essentially there are very little options here to put back up iron sights on this pistol.

Another product new for 2018 was this digital Desert Tan finish that the company added to one of their 1911 offerings. It appears that Girsan went with a thinly textured pattern compared to usual digital patterns on digital finishes typically seen with other other firearms.

I wonder why this sarsilmaz guys couldnt win the bid of service pistols for Turkish policemen.
The pistolet of mighty sarsilmaz couldnt passed the examinations and test of Departmen of Police.

Most probably this author was appeared to be paid for his visit.
Its very common in the USA to pay journalist to boast own brand.

25mm version can be used on TFX.

25mm guns recoil is not suitable for aircrafts. Appearently 25mm ammo has more recoil than 30x173mm.
For aircrafts, 20mm nato or 23mm soviet calibers are more convenient.

I would like to know what is their export price for american importers and MKEK. Actually i wont pay any cent on Turkish pistols unless They reveal their commercial invoices and share with Turkish public.

Turkish Gunsmiths claim they sell Turkish MKEK for double prices than they sell americans.
Our pistolets are happened to cost nearly 100$.
