No problem then. I meant that most of the radical kemalists i met are anti-ottoman.

i swear to God i have never in my life met a Turk who spoke negative about Pakistan

at my former place of employment i used to talk alot about Pakistan with my Turkish friends, some were curious and knew little about it

to be honest - we view eachother as brothers but our actual cooperation has been more limited than it should be. The best way for both countries to explore eachother is through tourism and of course increased/facilitated trade as well as collaborating on federal and regional/municipal government level on both sides.

for much of the past few decades, the real emphasis was on military to military relations (which they are quite strong actually -- they've been strong since early 1960s)....and even though you have an Army of an Islamic Republic on one hand and the ''guardians/protectors of Turkiye's (secular) Constitution'' (Turkish Army) on the other -- it's been a very productive and useful relationship for both sides.

when you guys talk about anti-islam this and that-- i think more older generation Turks have grudge more against Arabs.....not Muslims in general. The Arab bedouins betrayed the empire for their own reasons (they felt ''discriminated'' against).
