Turkish security forces neutralized 414 PKK militants in 2010.
General Staff’s web-site stated on Friday that “141 terrorists had been killed, while 70 had been captured, and 203 others surrendered in 2010.”
Most of the surrendered PKK militants escaped from shelters of PKK in the north of Iraq, and entered Turkey. Accordingly, 16 militants surrendered in December,
19 in September, and 20 in August to security forces in Silopi town of the southeastern province of Sirnak.
Security forces had neutralized 322 militants in 2009. 61 of those militants had been killed, 105 had been captured, and 156 had surrendered.
