I actually quite like this tit for tat policy, bout time too, we've been too eager to please and get nothing in return.

We didn't get anything in return this time either, in fact the US embassy statement is a scandal and against Turkish law.

Visas not being processed to visas being processed on 'limited basis' is something.

Just read the statement, it's interfering with Turkish justice system and it's against our laws.

They're trying to patronize us while randomly arresting Turkish citizens in the USA and when we comment on those people they say *US is a democratic country it's up to the judges*

Turkish embassy gives this statement first afterwards:

But later on we clarify things with this statement:

When will we see more woman in more ministries and parliament?

@Vergennes @Bismarck

Is there are point that making the defense ministers women ???

Is it like, "Look we are making a woman defense minister, look at the importance we gave to woman-man
equality ?

I looked at this picture today, and actually defence ministers of the most powerful EU nations (Germany,France,Italy,Spain) were women.

Honestly I don't know how Prime Ministers chosed their defence ministers, you might be right, like you might be wrong.

Don't know for other countries, however many things happened since Macron got elected. Firstly,we don't have a Defence Minister, but a "Minister of the Armies" (Ministre des Armées),we also don't have a Ministry of Defence, but a Ministry of the Armies. (Ministère des Armées). The Ministry was named as such during the begining of the fifth Republic and the De Gaulle era.

You would ask the "name changed, yeah so what ? "

The change of name (according to many) implied that the President recovered major powers and decisions making from the Ministry and re-asserted his role of supreme chief of the armed forces, decision maker and strategic viewer.

Many suggested that Florence Parly is just here to only deal about the armies, their equipments, budgetary affairs....

Honestly,I don't care if men or women are in charge,I just want them to be competent. Because we had men at the MoD and it wasn't that brilliant ya know....

Sinan you sound like a Kadir Misiroglu follower.
Bro, really ???

How many women did you saw as the head of general staff ??? Or How many women generals you have seen in the world history ? Many of the defense ministers of the European countries are female and i refuse to believe that this is a coincidence.
