which were stolen or took from western archeologists from Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Iraq etc. when they were all parts of the Ottoman Empire.

Unfortunately, that is not the situation with Altar of Zeus.... a few years ago, i visited Pergamon (last year actually) and saw it's original place and my hearth ache. I researched a bit and learned that Sultan gave that Altar to Germans. So, today we can say nothing about it.

Well, Erdogan and Merkel are in a divorce right now... I guess that The Sultan from Rize can at least ask for the Altar to be sent back to Turkey. In exchange Angela can take the Mercedes lomousines Erdogan and his entourage use. It's a fair deal. :enjoy:

The Istanbul New Airport is not bad but we need large projects such as robots, artificial intelligence and an industry that exports valuable goods.

Problem will be to transport workers, clerks and tourists to their destination.

Oh vay, Barzani PKK threatens Turkey with war . I guess that's what Mete Yarar wanted to say.

A group of people posing with Turkish flags yelled out religious slogans in protest of celebrations commemorating the liberation of Izmir...

As you can see in the video, the two groups are divided by police officers and barriers.

This is a disgusting provocation. What are these guys even trying to achieve? I can bet any money that these imbeciles are nothing but Ermenis. Seriously. What type of Turk protests against the liberation of a City? Or for that matter, tries to drown out "MUSTAFA KEMALIN ASKERLERIYIZ" by chanting religious and/or pro-AKP slogans?

At every celebration you see more and more of these guys. Do you think that they're pushed to go to events like this? It seems like there's a lot of organisation behind it. On the 30th of August there was a crowd of people chanting Recep Tayyip Erdogan at Anitkabir.

Why are you getting surprized? Some people are actively working to divide this country in two (or three) and are using every chance they have to destroy the foundations of the Republic (even though they will never achieve it when so many people are there to protect it)... it's a good way to win elections. Repeat a lie a hundred times and it becomes a truth. The divide between the people of the country is getting larger everyday, the hate amongst them is getting bigger. Turkey is divided in two halves- halves going in the opposite directions. Right now AKP is creating a parallel state within the state- two different countries are being built in front of our eyes- a progressive Secular Republic and a wanna-be Ottoman state (it's a wanna be because it has nothing in common with the glorious Ottoman empire or Osman Gazi, Fatih Sultan Mehmed, Kanuni Suleyman or Yavuz Sultan Selim).

They started with the educational system- books are changed, the educational program is being changed, the school system is changed. New religious schools, universities and faculties are created where a completely different history, subjects and things are studied... and also where the quality of the educations is lower. Thousands of teachers were sacked, many of whom innocent and the results are there- the education is getting worse and worse every year.

Mosques in many places are empty and rarely used yet they build more and more of them... most of the time from cheap materials and with bad designs. Billions (money from the Turkish tax payers and donations from the wahhabists in the Gulf) are pumped into the pockets of the thousands of loyal Imams, Tarikats, Cemaats and their followers. People without a day of work in their lives are getting wages much bigger than the minimum in Turkey and all that for spreading lies and brain washing many of the people who are more religious and conservative. The same with the hundreds of loyal medias which are trying to put Turks one against another using lies and conspiracy theories in many cases.

The pride of Turkey- it's Military forces were put in total chaos. The same for the secutiry forces. I am not even counting the last year where so many people were purged... it has been done for years before that by AKP and the Gulenists together.

There is so many other things we can say but you get the idea. Now tell me what will be the end of all this?

A nice analysis of the situation and conclusion of Turkey, don't know if true or not but it was related on your view (or hope). After analyst of the is-situation, what will be the situation in the future in your opinion or in other words, which future do you want for turkey? People don't just want to show them the problems, they want solutions also.

Beyond that you mixed up cause and effect. Erdogan political decisions are related on western decisions and behaviors. They press Turkey in a corner and give them no other choices.

About education systems, don't know if it is good or not, but was it better in the past?

About that 'mass-production' of mosques you could be right, many friends of mine who visit turkey every year feel disturbed about the mosques who are installed on every corner. They get that feeling it's the beginning of a political Islam.

About the situation of Turkish military, you need to compare the was-situation with current situation to make any decision. In this case, can you really say, Turkish army was in better condition before AKP (not forget- cause and effect)?
