Iran is with PUK. You might not want to believe it but after the war with IS it's the Iraqi forces that are the biggest threat to Barzanistan and they are afraid, hence they dig trenches every minute of their life's. lol this operation is slowly turning into an abysmal stalemate (even if Al Bab is captured after what 3 months of fighting). No surprise considering Erdogan and whoever is advising him have no clue about the strategic threat Turkey is facing from both the United States and PKK/YPG/SDF. Surely not all of the best Turkish Military officers and planners can be gulenists??

Whilst Assad is advancing against Syrian Rebels elswhere and mopping up areas west of Allepo and SDF is most likely going to take Raqqa with NATO air support and covert ground support the Turkish Army is going to do nothing and watch whilst Kurds become the great liberators of the world who overrun the Isis capital.

When that happens and Americans start supplying Kurds on a daily basis with their so called "safe zone" ideas Turkey will have no chance but to wake up to a new reality of Kurdish state on the south-western border. sad but true.

btw I honestly hope Erdogan knows what he is doing as I wholeheartedly 100% support Turkish Republic and Turkish Armed forces against the West and liar politics of United States. But you have to strike fast against the Kurds east of Euphrates because time is running out and you cannot trust the Trump administration with anything.
