Well PYD will deploy its troops on Raqqa and ISIS is going to defend it and while they are busy with it we will be capturing Al-Bab in that case if I'm not wrong.

Me thinks US wants to pressure IS on all ''three'' fronts, that is in Mosul as well as Raqqa area's. However they know that directly moving on Raqqa is not easy and will bring on more headache in the long term, which they've consistently ignored cause they prefer to work with the PKK, and thus they're trying to bring Turkey in to the mix.

And this is where the third front comes up, I think US wants us to partially move towards Al Bab, or atleast pretend to do so, so that IS won't be able to send in reinforcements. But they've said nothing about YPG encroaching on FSA area's from the west (with Russian/Syr backing) or from the east (Manbij).

Well to be fair, they said it was a lot of holding hands and guiding to prevent stuff from happening... which means our inital shock move has slowed down due to political maneuvering, and we all know AKP can't do that for shit. Hell they haven't even come out and directly condemned YPG for attacking Turkish forces in Syria afaik.

So right now the only move left for us is to directly move on Al bab-Manbij + maybe Afrin (Russians making moves there) to tip the scales in our favour.

Will AKP do that? I doubt it.

What's failed about the policy? If all that is achieved is the current 1300km square, which is so far a secure area for the Syrians, as well as closing off the border from isis, then where is the failure? As well as a very small loss of life of Turkish troops. Also they have experience with boots on the ground in a foreign country... Something that very few are willing to do these days.

This OP hasn't failed yet but AKP foreign policy is and has been fucking shambles for years. And if they continue to do their magnificent ''strategic thinking'' they're going to **** this OP as well.

The plan was Albab and Manjib almost from the outset.

Allowing ypg to even take nearly all your border towns in Syria is the prime example of failed policy. Treating ypg terrorists in hospital is the prime example of failed policys.

We are even treating PKK, IS terrorists in hospitals as well, as we have to since we recognised international human rights agreement. We have to give medical care to all human beings, if they commited crime then we must arrest them after their medical care finished.

AKP's biggest failure about Ayn Al-Arab and Tal-Abyad is, not involving there directly with our troops when there was IS. We could gain 2 things ;

> More international support bcs we are removing IS
> Not letting PKK invade northern syria.

Now we are trying to clear past failures.
