those are probably Proximity shells, and for artillery that is not a problem. But I really want to see
40mm airbust munition which explode after a set distance. This will make house clearing such a piece of cake.

Good question, but I think it's got something to do with the purpose of different branches.

Also I think TSK and Turkey need to up the information battle. We're pretty much up against the whole western media who aims to paint a horrible picture of our operation. BBC-world is an example of this, british support for our operation my ***!

Regular mechanized infantry units are trained for urban warfare, but the gendarme and police units are experts in it. They are maybe one of the world's best in urban anti-terror ops. The Turkish forces must use their cards in the most effective manner. Commandos in the mountains, JoH and PoH in the cities.

Because they are experts in killing "Campers", these Special Forces are maybe one of the most experienced Anti Terror Units.

Dude, only in the last 2 days no large advances, because we are preparing to storm the urban centers. This has nothing to do with the shitstorm in Idlib.

Thanks for the explanation. I was quite enjoying the rapid advances prior. I think they will storm Rajo soon. But if I can figure that out, so would the PKK. I hope TSK can do something unexpected instead, like launch an operation on Kurd Mountain. Or on Tel Rifat.

In war we must always use the element of surprise and keep our enemies guessing.

If we simplify the explanation then we can say Army is for regular warfare while PÖH and JÖH are for asymetrical warfare.
Espacially JÖH was always a crucial part of fight against pkk for decades.

The Gendarmerie Special Operations (Turkish: Jandarma Özel Harekat) or JÖH, is the special operations unit of the Turkish Jandarma (Gendarmerie). It has several missions which includes search and destroy, infiltration and reconnaissance actions. Members of the unit receive extensive training at the Jandarma School at Foça and also from selected Army instructors. All three companies work under the direction of the army regions to which they are assigned, but can also receive tasking from their headquarters in Ankara.
