Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

I am not an agent of YPG.

I have been very respectful and courteous with you guys in this discussion and elsewhere. I expressed my views here with relevant citations and listened to your views patiently. I admitted my figure-related mistake as well.

PKK threatens your existence - YPG by itself does not. Several of your "allies" are not buying your narrative in regards to YPG and they have first-hand experience with YPG in Syria which none of you guys have.

I am nuetral in all this. However, I have come to understand lately that Tayyip Erdogan is not a trustworthy individual.

If I am proven wrong in my stance at some point in the future, I will apologize to all Turkish members here in a separate thread. You have my word.

But spare me labels like retard and such. If you consider Pakistani your brothers - then have faith in your judgement. It should not be pretentious.

We don't have a good opinion for "pretend brothers." This is a Hindu trait.
maybe we should hire you. and dismantle our inteligence agency and police since you know more about the connection between ypg /pkk than them, hey genius even fomer american defence minister ashton cater adimted there is a connection between ypg and pkk, so stop trying and acting like smart ***, you know nothing this is bigger than erdogan by the way. this is about the Turkish republic, get that in your thick head, reading a couple of article and all of a sudden and you know the situation. when its the opposite,

.
Isit so hard to understand that ypg and pkk have the same aims?
This is not the end.

If YPG is indeed a terrorist organization, it will get that recognition in due time and I will gladly join the YPG-bashing bandwagon.

However, what I see in this thread is people buying and parroting Erdogan's propaganda in all respects.

Coup attempt on Erdogan? US is responsible.

Emphasis mine. Why you still member of NATO?

YPG and PKK are one and the same?. Yes.

Emphasis mine. World is not buying it.

Fateh Gullen is a terrorist? Yes.

Emphasis mine. Gullen and Erdogan used to be friends once.

I shall remind you that (we) are not stupid. Gullens have extensive history of working in Pakistan and they are very nice people. Pakistani PML(N) leadership honored Erdogan's request for exiling Gullen educationists from Pakistan but many here are not happy with this decision - they are not terrorists as per claims of Erdogan.

Mark my words - PML(N) leadership is in hot waters these days for various reasons.

And now some of you are taking it out on me. You guys shout and misbehave a lot instead of addressing an argument or difference-of-opinion in reasonable manner.

My point is simple - think about ISIS. It is a much bigger threat than YPG or even PKK.

Do something that may earn you guys some real respect across the world - leave NATO, end your army to destroy ISIS and topple Assad regime. Can you do it?

If you keep this attitude many of my angered countrymen will say much more horrible things to you, i can guaranty you that.

PKK and YPG is the same shıt for us, there are not a slight difference between them. They both worship Abdullah Öcalan. There are both PKK members and in YPG ranks and vice versa.

And Fehman Hüseyin, a top ranked PKK commander also the commender of PKK sub branch TAK (which is responsible for exploding bombs in Turkish cities, claming many civilian lives) killed in YPG territory while travelling. Even there are many statements from both US military and government that YPG is linked.

We can show you many photos that PKK terrorists openly operating in YPG ranks.

On top of that, we don't really need to convince you. Feel free to believe what you have to believe. However it's really fun for you to keep trying to convince Turks that YPG is not a thread to ourselves.

For any Turk to believe in what you are saying....he should be living on Mars.

Stop derailing the thread, if it was that easy to cut ties why didn't Pakistan cut ties with US when they were droning your citizens in your own borders.

YPG is not recognised as a terror org simply because of the land grab game being played in the Syria and Iraq, they are useful pawns at the moment, otherwise there tactics and affiliation with the PKK even the US / EU dont deny.

US/ISIS/YPG/ASSAD wont be picking apples off the tree while Turkey goes into Syria, if it was that easy you take the lead the destroy the anti Pakistan government and sentiment Afghanistan, easy to talk here.

Actually surprised a Pakistani would sympathise with terror orgs fighting against Turkey, especially knowing how much Pakistan has suffered from internal and external terror across the border.

Lol, feel free to harbor them. They are really not a threat against us in Pakistan. They more of a threat against you.

And you should really stop pretending that Turks are believing in every thing Erdoğan says. You would see that we have different opinions about Erdoğan and his government. Some loathes him, some loves him.

But on certain issues like PKK, YPG, Gülenists you won't hear a different opinion from us.

topple Assad regime. Can you do it?
Go declare war against Russia and beat them. Can you do it ?

You guys shout and misbehave a lot instead of addressing an argument or difference-of-opinion in reasonable manner.
I wonder how would you feel if we would try to convince you that Taliban is not a terrorist organization.

Maybe, you would stay calm and keep your manner. But i don't think all of your countrymen can do it.

.
Anyway when do you guys think the op will start? if it will.

Ive heard rumours that end of this month, maybe they are waiting for YPG/SDF to get tangled in Raqqa? or working on last details of deployment?

Protests in Afrin against the Fosik Turkler, all carrying PKK banners and pictures of o.c Ocalan.

.
Emphasis mine. Why you still member of NATO?
Being in a military alliance with USA is the best thing for a country that USA is enemy of.

It gives us the ability of not being invaded by USA.

USA and Turkey will be more and more hostile against each other in the future, but we will remain in NATO as much as possible as that protects us from USA, hence the logical thing to do.

Emphasis mine. World is not buying it.
The world doesnt have to buy something before we take some action about that something.

We dont need the world's permission.

Emphasis mine. Gullen and Erdogan used to be friends once.
Yes, and my family were insulting both of them in the same time back then. They both were terrorists then, now one of them is terrorist. So what now, should we ignore a terrorist because someone else was a friend of them?

I think, this is reasonable....however we are hearing many rumors lately...

So if taliban is fighting against isis tomorow, then taliban are not terrorists?

Everyone knows that isis is temporary and they are not a really big threat in the long term.

My friend,

Exchange of unpleasantries is not the correct way to address a difference-of-opinion.

Angered countrymen? You think I am scared?

This is PDF - not Turkish property. Expect Pakistani (from different walks-of-life) to have a conversation with Turkish members from time-to-time. Some will agree with you in all matters - others not so much.

I have been courteous in my expressions here and expect the same in return.

I stay away from Turkish politics normally but I am trying to understand a few things about Kurd.

YPG and PKK are same shit for you guys - this is a good way to put it from your end. And I acknowledge the reality of this perception within Turkey.

However, many (outside Turkey) are not buying your narrative in regards to YPG - but this may change if YPG is found to be responsible for terrorist incidents in Turkey and is recognized as a terrorist organization. Insofar, nuetral observers perceive YPG as an important front against ISIS in Syria and decent people in general.

I do not deny ideological affiliation of YPG with PKK but things are not as 'black and white' as you guys seem to portray here and you guys seem to have ignored international assessments of these matters.

PKK operatives are working with YPG on the ground under KCK - correct?

My assessment is that Kurd factions have joined hands to tackle ISIS in Syria and Iraq - they are legit citizens of these states and their very existence is at stake.

It has also come to my attention that PKK and Turkish government had a peace treaty? Why it ended?

OK.

I see your perspective.

This is the right way to express - appreciated.

Now, PKK and Turkish government had a peace deal not long ago? Why it ended?

Vladimir Putin: "Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a very intelligent statesman who has been by distracting the PKK for 13 years and has made his own weapons, tanks, armored combat vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles and fugitives, and now he is killing the PKK with his own creations without compromise."

That is very godfather-like. Erdogan is scary.

I have not said that to scare you or anything like that. We are hot-headed, emotional people...and this is a very delicate subject....Surely, some can lose temper...I'm just saying that.

The last guy who had this attitude was Safriz....

Bro, i really don't care about your opinion on this object. I explained and i don't wanna repeat myself again and again.

If you have any question i would happily answer.

Now, PKK and Turkish government had a peace deal not long ago? Why it ended?

First of all there was not a peace deal....it's not like they reached on a deal. There was an ongoing "peace process" (which i objected from the day 1)

It ended when PKK terrorists killed 2 police officers by breaking into their homes and executing them.
