Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

those SAA freaks hate u (rightfully) they will shoot at u too. The only way is ee this to stop is a full blown war. If they have 100k terrorists kill them and give them a warning. Fck the media let them talk at the end u r the one delivering a message. for example i believe that 20k fsa and 15k tr soldiers are enough to deal with them. Imagine molibizing all our f16 and f4 against them this would be a matter of hours. Also another important thing is that the east of eupraths are mostly small villages not optimal for guerilla warfare there are only 2 "big" cities and those are tel abyad and ayn al arab and those are bordering us so we can literraly shoot them from our side.

I think working together with SAA wont happen anytime soon- they dont like us at all rightfully
working together with the west also doestn work
working with gcc countries also doesnt really work.
But maybe u can find some deals with russia regarding this. at the end it isnt military backign we need thats not the case what we need is Political backing and once we have it there is nobody who can stop us.

After Al-Bab, manpower would be double in two months. After Manbij, Manpower would see 20k-25k which is not enough to get in Tal-Abyad-Ayn Isa while keep defending current pocket without Turkish Armed Forces' direct help. PKK's eastern Euphrates force is something like 60k-70k, which can increase to 100k with possible mobilisation (join us or die tactic)

We must agree with Assad, and let 10k+ Assad troops to go to Qamisli, to diverse fights. PKK cannot fight in 3 different front (FSA-SAA-IS)

l heard that there are FSA groups in Eastern Euphrates with 30k manpower just waiting for Turkey to intervene.

The biggest problem here is though is not PKK's manpower but the US.

Remember how they failed back in 2014? After that US and Western countries gave them enormous support that's how they could grow so fast.

USA has already 7 bases there and they're now building an airbase near Ayn-El Arab, so we can't really intervene there.

Hell we couldn't even touch them in Menbij...But we should nonetheless invade East Euphrates too whatever the cost may be.

Beşiktas bomber came from PYD controlled area and was also PKK militant so we have every right to make an operation.

lf we keep them grow there, terror attacks inside Turkey will never stop.

Lol what??? Even in İdlib-Aleppo area has 40k-50k FSA member. Where are those imaginary 30k FSA manpower east of Euphrates???

Meanwhile, Assad is handing brand-new weapons and ammunitions to IS, together with brand-new City...

30 Tanks, tens of armored vehicles, hundreds of ATGMs, thousands of all kind of ammunitions and 10k+ MREs.

Was "it" really from PYD region? If so we should take it and shove it up Merkel and Obama's @rse!!!

Not sure if Assad really cares about the pkk. Assad knows he's fucked without Russian air support and Iranian sponsored mercs and he still got his hands full with the fsa, so he can't do much against the US supported ypg on his own. Assad might just as well let the ypg freely roam as revenge against us. Only in the long term once Syria is clear of isis and fsa, then he might take action against ypg for their excessive landgrab, but maybe not if he thinks he can utilize ypg/pkk against us and if it's worth to do so instead of reclaiming (some of) those northern lands from the ypg/pkk. We shall see.

He doesnt care about PKK, but he does care about Deir Ez-Zur. He tried to reach Deir Ez-Zur with Palmyra way, they failed.

Give Assad a guarantee about "we will give you constant AF and howitzer support when you capture Qamisli, Hasakah, and then connect to Deir Ez-Zur and then connect it to Palmyra, and let SAA armor go through our territory, and constant ceasefire between FSA-SAA, and co-operation against Al-Nusra terrorists => will be a great deal.

One of the most unreliable sources, but he claims that some of western neighborhoods of Al-Bab is captured, 4 soldier wounded.

only confirmed report is 2 soldier wounded in Al-Bab

2 More in Kilis hospital, 4 in Total.

They are wounded in ISIS ATGM attack. (Not in Al-bab but in Zurzur village)

Thank god, tank didn't get cooked...other wise they would be all dead.

Couldn't we put up some kind of sensor vehicle to help with atgm detection (laser-guided ones atleast) and try to block with smoke etc?

Also I think TSK ordered gag order with urban warfare about the start for Bab. Last update in past two days is basically that they tried to enter at minimum via northwest near a mosque or so.

There was a suggestion on Turkish forum for that ;

Very simple solutions yet it takes a year for the army to implement them.

A group of our soldiers in Syria were jumping on and kicking a POW. The guy was saying Abi Abi Abi so that tells me he is probably from Turkey fighting in Syria with PYD. The film abruptly cuts off when the soldiers look alarmed-scared and say who is coming.

The soldiers should be relieved of their duty to make an example of them. We pride our selves on having a disciplined and just military, soldiers like that have no place in our armed forces. I can see roughing the guy up a little bit kind of lightly but the physical damage they were doing was too much. The guy might even have internal organ damage. Definitely some broken bones. The government should make a statement about it and say that the men were punished.
