The problem is that is already happening between both sides. The Russians are not open with their casualities while its clear that they had something to do with the recent strike- on the other hand TuAF and land forces are locking on their jets via F16 and ground air defense systems so thats a very dangerous situation for the Russians there.

No need to advance just yet, The Turks found suitable positions a while ago and are relatively safe in those areas to conduct operations and weaken the enemy without exposing themselves on the move and in the open. Once the bravado of the enemy drys up then they will comfortably move to new well chosen locations and start the process over again.
