Turkish Naval Programs

We are very lucky to have engineers that are developing state of the art vessels. We are equally unlucky to have lots of navy officers in prison.

Why Turkish Navy isn't building a destroyer?
Because if Turkey want to be a powerful country the should have at least a destroyer!!

We are actually. Ever heard of TF-2000 buddy? It has a displacement of +7,000 tonnes, that'll be a guided missile destroyer. But we have to classify it under NATO-STANAG doctrines. Which it'll be called as a AAW Frigate. The same for Ada-class (milgem) corvettes. It has a tonnage around 2,300 tonnes. But we just call it as ASW/Patrol corvette.

Good those subs' induction will take a really long time while our operational subs navy keeps getting older and older with each year.

Now that Turkey decided to induct HQ-9 with TOT, I think she should consider to develop its own navy version of HQ-9 which can be installed on TF-2000
