The first is soon going to be the world's biggest economy and the second is the fastest growing major economy and currently in the top 5 or 6. Both are nuclear powers and both are space powers. Both have an open access to the world oceans. Both have much bigger potential to waste resources on such big projects while Turkey doesn't. Even with their bigger resources and huge population it took them many years to build a working AC which if I remember well are just refurbished Soviet rusty buckets which you can't compare to their American or French/British competitors. Turkey is as big as Germany while having a 4 times smaller economy and numerous times smaller exports, industrial, technological and scientific capacity. Turkey has no huge international conglomerates operating worldwide, it has a bad educational system producing very few top quality specialist a lot of whom doesn't even stay in Turkey but migrate West where they have better chances to work and develop. Half of Turkey's population have never read a book in their lives but think they know everything. They think Germans and Westerners are jelous of a bridge or an airport built in Istanbul (things most of them won't use because they can't afford to pay the toll tax for the bridge yet alone flying somewhere around the globe from the new airport) while Germany is decades ahead in almost everything. A nation like this needs education, needs new jobs, needs internal security and prosperity, not an aircraft carrier for showing off how great we are. Ps To build 4 corvettes took 12 years... I see we have plans for an LHD, frigates and submarines. Let's first start building them and actually finish them before speaking big words.
