What's new

Turkish Missile Programs

If there is possibility of something workable in a short time, then it is not belonging to them at all but it is just an assembly and building a new body for an already existing missile. Their miniature free fall bombs has pretty exciting warhead to total weight ratios, its an extraordinary performance thus it doesnt seem achievable in short time.
UAE might be developing some missile, yet none of us or judging or underlooking them ,the matter is there are doubts.

Let's say they bought the blueprint and everything that goes with it ie Manufacturing process,bp,workeforce etc...
Then set up the production line and therefore acquiring the "Product"...

Even though they are capable of doing so themselves but it will take more years...

In the End... in the Defense department and National interest... what is more "Efficient? Reinventing the wheel from scratch with their Engineers or Buying the A to Z of that wheel and use that spare time and those engineers to Update that wheel?

Yeah, well we will all see what comes out of it in upcoming exhibitions, and shows. We won't know whos right until we actually see clear evidence proving, or disproving either one of us.

As I was saying, wouldn't it be possible to use commercial electronics in a military manufacturing role? There are a good amount of electronics produced by companies that could certainly perform the same function.

So what could it achieve without MTCR?

only ROKETSAN knows about it
300+ km ROKETSAN Ballistic Missiles are in secret status

2500 kg 610 mm KHAN = 7,8 m with 470 kg warhead ..... ROKETSAN's official website says KHAN has range of 80-280km

1600 kg 624 mm LORA = 5,2 m with 570 kg warhead .... IAI's official website says LORA has range of 90-300 km ( but according to AzeriDefence , LORA is capable of reaching targets at a distance of 430 km )

Azerbaijan has officially proved it has an operational missile capable of reaching targets at a distance of 430 km

Really? Than, I misunderstand MMM-E suggestion, it is not allow to produce missiles above a range of 300km because of MTCR.
It would be counter-intuitive to develop a system and not be able to export it. Turkey would have to invest in a whole new system used solely in country.

BTW @MMM-E KSA is using Denel engineers to manufacture similar missiles to current Denel products. Taking a route similar to China took after breakup of Soviet Union. TOT-Theft of Technology, Denel NEVER gave TOT for any Denel missile.

Comparing the two, it seems inspired but not DIRECT copy of Mokopa because of obvious shaping diffrences.
mokopa_l2.jpg

Weight 50kg
The diameter is 178mm
The range is 10km
Speed 420 m/s
Capable of penetrating 1300 mm of armor

Mokopa specifications
Weight 49.8 kg[2]
Length 1.995 m (6.55 ft)
Diameter 17.8 cm (7.0 in)

True, MTCR is only about Exporting the missile systems... This is probably one of the reasons, why Turkish Army has BORA Ballistic missiles for itself while it's export version is KHAN ballistic missiles...
But Just like Israel, Turkey doesn't like to brag about it's missile's range, it draws undesirable attention. Roketsan and Army knows about it's range... Thats enough for us. No need to be like Iran or North Korea.
