Completly different things they are : 1-That vehicle is designed for anti-air warfare while our SPAAG is a CIWS designed to protect armored tanks from enemy missiles. 2-Ammo type used in that vehicle is classic AP while ours using AHEAD ammunation.

Korkut can be used on any type aerial threats including missiles. AHEAD munition just minimize the rounds to be fired against targets. With this way, The turret volume can be decreased more When it is compared with the SPAAG platforms that uses standart munitions....

35mm? I believe its 30 mm.

No bro, It is 35mm X 2, Oerlikon guns that is going to be produced under the licence in MKE.

The Russian vehicle is smarter because It has missile and guns. We made atilgan and korkut when we could just have made 1 vehicle

This is a real air defence system. That's the reference.

Are you sure? It looks more like a anti air gun.

The Korkut is basically useless in any urban environment or even wooded environment because the gun is positioned incorrectly. Actually the turret is reatrded. If we were in the sahara desert it would be okay but we are not. Right now it is only good for an air field or a open terrain.

Maybe people dont like russian stuff. Here is the german gepard.

Actually after looking at pictures of the Korkut again the barrel isnt as long as I thought. Its not bad.

Brother pay attention of revojam message, so he says Korkut 35mm SPAAG will use against ATGM missiles so its first mission will be protect the ground troops against ATGM missiles also it can use against ground forces for suppress them, which can use against helicopters, UAV's, Planes and missiles too,

there was a 3D video, Atilgan and Korkut was protecting mechanized troops against Helicopter and Korkut hit ATGM Missile which fired by helicopter. i searched on youtube but i didn't find, Does anyone remember that video?

This way Korkut barrels close to each other it is degin not like gepard or tunguska.

Indeed, in fact if you look at German Gepard, British Marksman, Japanese Type87 and Polish Loara; They all have a design based on Tank chassis.

The requirement for Aselsan was to design and build a remote operated light and compact system, easier to transport, easier to maintain and cheaper to build.

Type 87 is the most compact out of all of them, compare it to Korkut.

Aselsan is doing a great job with this, you just simply tell by the OS and controls they've designed for it, Top Class.

Oh, and how many of them have amphibious ability?

35 mm Airburst Ammunition

35_mm_PM%20%C3%BCr%C3%BCn%20detay.jpg

The concept of air burst ammunition came up in order to increase the efficiency of the gun systems against air-to-surface missiles, UAV’s, etc. The idea is basically to create a cloud of particles which have high kinetic energy and penetration capability on the path of the threat and be able to hit targets which are very difficult to hit with the classical ammunitions. ASELSAN’s 35 mm Airburst Ammunition is developed in the scope of this concepts and it is highly efficient against small and fast air threats.

Ok the new information has changed my opinion.. This is a great system.
  • Amphibious
  • Fire on the move
  • IFF

So when will this system be ready? Have there been any tests.
