In fact, it's most episodes has oftenly a boring scenario, with overly slow shots and moments when the story doesn't flow, packed with endless long unnecessary dialouges.
However, although it has commercial concerns, Diriliş is also trying to explain something about Islamic morality and Islamic practice. Yeah, this was the new thing for netflix generation. People watching Mujahideens(Alperen) with theirs families and life struggle. A quality production (unfortunately I cannot say good acting. Moreover, the number of extra players is always very few, they conquer the castle with 50 people lol. ), good costumes, average atmosphere, but this time Muslims are not bad people.
Beyond that, making historical inferences and even matching it with today's culture-identity polemics is ridiculous and unnecessary.
If you want to have an accurate and strong accumulation about historical facts and periods, the worst choice would be TV series. Although it is not worse than the Internet and social media... Those with intellectual interest should research these topics from historians who have academic reputation and continue their work within these rules, and, if you can, from the state archives. Almost all Ottoman archives are open to the public.
