It seems like OTOKAR spends lots of efforts to get our indigenous tank project. So far, they are the only one who deserve it.

But as far as I understand, this engine isn't enough for ALTAY. isn't it?

New generation Armored Vehicle power pack development project went to BMC !

Not really, today was the last extended day allowed by the gov. meaning they gonna go with the German made motor, as the beginning, so delay should be as before. if Tumosan founded a patner then the altay will have been delayed ( around 2+years) so good news

You know our people. They won't be innovative as long as they can buy anything from foreign suppliers. To be honest, I think it isn't really bad that they couldn't find a foreign partner. Look at our history. Many Turkish defense companies like ASELSAN are created during a period of US sanctions after our Cyprus operation.

Tumosan has already been working on the project for years now. If they gave it to Ford Otosan, they would have to start from scratch. Instead of Tumosan finding a foreign partner, they could partner up with For Otosan instead.
