Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tümosan mr Albayrak said that: "There are nearly 5k armoured vehicle engines that need to be renewed. We started the first stage with 100 vehicles and it will continue. Now, We have 115, 350 and 530 hp diesel engines. I hope we will go up to 750,1000 and 1500hp in the future."

Can this engine used in altay?
 
Altay needs 1500-1800hp engine... This are not powerful enough for Altay right now but in future yes, We will produce a Turkish engine for Altay.

The powerful engines are being developed by BMC power. They have been charged to develop a couple of powerful engines which is going to be installed on the bigger platforms !

  • TTZA: 350hp (Kirpi2)
  • AZRA: 600/700hp (Tank carrier truck- NG IFV)
  • UTKU: 1000hp(Firtina Howitzer)
  • BATU: 1500hp(Altay MBT)
