If I were you, I would first stop buying from Germany. It is not trade balance that is always the most important. Trade balance moves positive and negative, but strategic interests remain.

Remember that Germany has officially recognized the Armenian Genocide.

I do not see China there. In international relations, it is always give and take.

If you still think of Germany highly, I would think you are a Turkish German like @Bismarck .

They are never tired of stabbing Turkey in the back geopolitically.

In economical way, we are fine with Turkey. We have more or less a balanced trade volume. Most FDI come from Germany also tourist income. We have more companies in Turkey than any other countries. Can you compare with us in this way. If we normalize our relation with Erdogan we can also update the customer union with Turkey which bring them 2% economy growth per year.

Now, it’s your turn. Don’t hide and don’t come up with cheap propaganda and populism. Just pure facts.

You have more or less balanced. But not balanced. Still in Germany's favor. Besides, the value is skewed in terms of content. You are selling high-end stuff, such as machinery, thereby, taking hostage of Turkey's manufacturing. Turkey is selling you mostly low-end stuff, which can easily be replaced by Bangladesh or Pakistan.

If we normalize our relation with Erdogan we can also update the customer union with Turkey which bring them 2% economy growth per year.

It is customs union, and, for Turkey, it may not be the best news. 2% growth based on import-substitute economy is not something to be proud of in the long run.

In the end, you are advocating to tie Turkey's future into one specific country/region -- like how Russia tied Europe's energy future to itself.

You are playing the strategic long game and taking advantage of Turkey's populist president's (yesterday you were Nazi to them, today you are the savior, tomorrow, who knows what) lack of strategic skills, economic, political and historical knowledge.

These are pure facts. Other two pure facts are:

1. You have badly back-stabbed Turkey in refugee deal
2. You have recognized Armenian Genocide.

These sound very real to me.

There is no single entity population wise comparable to China, EU with less than half of Chinas population is far better in almost every field, you should leave him his self confirmation by comparing a 1.3 billion country to merely 80 million maybe he is compensating something you never know.

China is a developing country, no objection to that. As a developing country, China has a lot of industries/technologies to catch up with developed nations.

But, on many metrics, the US is not the standard for China.

Nonetheless, I understand your points and appreciate your concern -- that China needs to constantly be compared with countries of its own scale such as the US, Japan and Germany.

And it is unfair to compare Turkey with China given that China is a developing nation.

In fact, China constantly compares with the developed nations.

China has second-most AI companies: blue paper

China has the second-largest number of Artificial Intelligence (AI) companies in the world, trailing only the United States, according to a blue paper published Monday.

The blue paper was published by Gartner, an information technology research and advisory company, and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), in Shanghai at the ongoing World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2018.

"The number of AI-related companies in China continues to grow and now ranks second in the world," said Liu Duo, president of CAICT.

She said the number of AI-related patent filings has hiked in China since 2015 and the scale of the AI market has also developed drastically, especially concerning voice and image recognition technology.

Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu are regions where domestic AI companies are developing the fastest, Liu added.

Despite the fast development of the industry, Liu also warned companies about potential ethics and legal risks the technology may bring about.

"As AI empowers our daily lives and production, we need to try to avoid controversies or harmful effects it may cause," said Liu.

Phil Todd, managing Vice President of Gartner, said his company has seen a drastic increase of AI-related consultations in recent years, but research covering over 3,000 companies showed that only four percent of them have invested in and utilize AI technology.

"Some technologies are at the peak of inflated expectations. When they were implemented, they would crash and face difficulties," said Todd, adding that the key to AI application is to choose the right business and suit the customers' needs.
